reality check

As usual hscoach's spreads are being flirted with.

BW had 1st and goal from the 2 and ONU held them out of the end zone by intercepting a BW pass on 4th and goal from the 2 yard line.

Lots of great individual performances today in Ada: Donley has 3 TD's and 145 yards.  Fleming has 4 catches for 202 yards and 2 TD's.  Jesse Richards 17 tackles and an INT in the end zone on 4th and goal.

Great statement by the Polar Bears today although they gave up too much in the second half.

Good luck to BW the rest of the way.

OldOtter

Otterbein gave this one away. Terrible effort at the end of the game. Dropped balls and very shakey QB play late in the game. Really disappointing offensive ballgame

reality check

Wilmington up 28-25 on Marietta with 11:11 left in the 4th.

Wilmington gives it away versus the Pioneers 31-28.  According to the broadcasters, two roughing/running into the kicker penalties gave Marietta 10 points on the day.

RC:  Congrats on the big win by your Pooh Bears.  Take care of the bottom feeders the next few weeks and welcome back to the playoffs.

Heidelberg has a nice offense, especially Andrew Miller, but their defense is worse than bad.  As in Randolph-Macon/Widener bad.  At least Mount decided to hang onto the ball today.  Jeremy Murray is solidly the starting TB now and looks better each week.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Sure glad I took Wisconsin and the points

Raider 68

Missed the Raider game live today, but watched the tape delay. Now that is more like it. The running game is coming back, great defense for the Raiders!
Congrats!  :) and no turnovers, yeah! ;D

Congrats to ONU, thought Bears would by 10 or more so they beat HScoach's spread. No doubt they will be in this year's playoffs! :)

Clearly there was some funny business going on there and we will have to wait and see what the NCCA does. Hate to think it's the way Regis gets a win over LK

He still wouldn't get the win.  The win would simply be vacated, not overturned.  Minor point, I know, but Regis would still keep his loss.

I do agree, though, on a couple of other things people have said...I hope it doesn't come back to bite Mount Union.  The NCAA does probably have bigger fish to fry (and I'm typing this from North Carolina).  LK has historically run a fairly tight and legit program and if anything, this would be more of a blip than an insight into more things.

Didn't see Wes Ryder play  yesterday. Is he injured?

purpled

I did hear Ryder was injured but do not know his injury.

Looks like "Hell Week" paid off for both players and coaches although LK was still screaming to the very end. Gotta love it!!

Murry is a scrappy kid...sees the hole well and can fly through it. Zac "Freshley Squeezed" Lemmon also ran well when he was in. And Neal...can't complain about the short to in between passes but... Got to like what Collins is doing too.

As usual the D played hard...if we go deep into the playoffs it will be on the backs of this defense.

With the deep and improving receiving cores, is there any chances to next time we see Shorts on the field he will be behind center? It seems logical to let the best player on the field touch the ball every play, especially when his services might not be as necessary in the receiving core.

I think it may be a topic of discussion, and might have more merit now that Neal has plenty of experience and looks to be the QB of the future.

As said before, nothing short of injury is probably going to change Larry's mind about his QB.

Got to be happy with Murray and hope that there is nothing seriously wrong with Ryder, "The Truck"

I didn't get a chance to watch the replay last night, but I listened to the entire game on the radio.  It seemed like Ric was using the phrase "breaks a tackle" on nearly every Murray run.  Specifically it seemed like he was breaking a lot of tackles near the LOS to make a 2-3 yard gain a 7-8 yard gain.  That type of thing combined with his ability to catch the ball could prove to be a pleasant surprise for the 2010 offense.

Unfortunately that's the only thing being flirted with >:(
