It still needs to factor in some level of the strength of those opponents or else you end up with the whole New England league on  top.

I just used them as a bad example. Sorry, I didn't scroll all the way to bottom of the list. It's still worthless without attempt to assign some level of strength to the opponents.

It's even more worthless if you don't bother to read before you bash it.

I have attached an Excel spreadsheet combining record and SoS to come up with an Overall Ranking.  This ranking would be closer to how the NCAA would actually compare teams if they were all Pool C candidates.  This should ease your worries about Anna Maria having a stronger SoS than Mount Union. ;)

The board wouldn't allow me to upload an Excel file, so save the attached file and rename it from SoS.txt to SoS.xls before opening.

Or just open this file, which actually is a simple TXT file.

Regretfully, agree. I just hope the Mount Union fans let the Otterbein fans sit together this year.   ;)

Yes, it is. I say it somewhat tongue in cheek.  There have been times over the years the MT Union fans have sat home side middle of field right where the Otterbein pareents sit.

Just hoping to keep Mt. under 50 and hopefully score on Saturday..

very encouraging...lol....I agree it is a tough Mount(ain) to climb, but you have to have hope...Don't see it happening so you are probably right.

Also, the reason they sit there is they have more fans.

I'm just hoping someone shows up from Otterbein besides the parents.......
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I think JCU/CAP could be a close game.

reality check

Agree with JCU/CAP as CAP can be a Jekyll/Hyde team this year.

What are the odds Dominic Jones sees any kicks to return or do you think Mount takes him completely out of the kicking game by directionally kicking???
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

IMHO, Mount will limit the number of Jones's returns. Here is what they have done through 7 games:

                                                   MTU            OPPON.

KICK RETURNS: #-Yards.........         13-266       49-858
PUNT RETURNS: #-Yards.........       18-324           3-13
INT RETURNS: #-Yards..........         12-129           5-61
KICK RETURN AVERAGE...........           20.5           17.5
PUNT RETURN AVERAGE...........           18.0            4.3
