Just try and be respectful in the stands while you humiliate another oac team

Imagine how difficult it is for your opponent each and every week you play. There are 9 awesome Saturdays each fall  , then there is mount week

Agree with JCU/CAP as CAP can be a Jekyll/Hyde team this year.

What are the odds Dominic Jones sees any kicks to return or do you think Mount takes him completely out of the kicking game by directionally kicking???

I doubt he'll get any meaty punts. Suhar's punts are 30 yards long and forty yards high and the coverage guys are usually totally surrounding the return guy. Almeida is averaging around 60 yards a kickoff so the 17 yard returns haven't mean't much. Not overly impressed with special teams play so far so........can he? Yes........will he? Maybe

Chances-about 1-4

As I said earlier in the week, the average Mount fan is greatly toned down from 5-10 years ago. The average Mount parent, still pretty cocky. (and that's what your gonna see on Saturday, they pays they're money and they gets to be cocky if they wish too)

I'm a no show even if we're playing in my wife's hometown. My son has a final afternoon practice before a semi-final Suburban Youth playoff game on Sunday.

If the visitor stands were a little bigger than a sardine can, you wouldn't even hear any disrespect.  get there early mount fans

Proves my point. Went about 6 years ago and got up for a coke came back and a Mt. UNion fan was in my seat. I ask them if they would let have my seat back since I had only gotten up for a drink. It had a jacket on it. I was told when I was rooting for a team that deserved to be watched I  could have it back and that they did expect hello to freeze over so find another seat

Maybe I'm in left field, but I think LK will kick to him as normal as a test for his coverage units.  The only kickoff I see playing it safe is the opening KO of the game so as to limit the possibility of a big return boosting Otterbein's hope.  Once the game gets rolling along, I would be shocked if Mount really tries to keep the ball away from him unless he's already returned a couple big ones and Mount can't handle him at all.

What sucks is Shorts' injury will eliminate the evaluation of Jones & Cecil going head to head.  I was really looking forward to seeing whether he was everything he's made out to be.  If he could have shut down Shorts, I'd have been very impressed.

I am very impressed with the guys who have replaced Shorts and Claycomb, Jasper Collins and Brandon Brown.  This is a vastly different Mount Union team than we have seen in years past.  We don't have stars running all over the field, no All-OAC guys at nearly every position, no All- Americans on offense with Cecil hurt and LK doesn't have to be creative to keep the score under 60. They remind me of The Great Jim Ballard's 1991 team, 8-1-1, or the 1998 team that was blessed by God. Can they win it all? I would appreciate your thoughts. I predict LK will test this hotshot Otter, and challenge his players to shut him down. However ,if the Otter defense is as good as they have been the last couple years vs the Purples he may not get a punt to return. Love the way these sophomores and new starters are playing.

You are fogetting Kyle Miller pre-season All-American, but good points and I agree.

While UWW has a great veteran team this year, the Raiders will be very strong over the next few years and maybe this year as well. The team has improved with the defense giving up just 28 points in the last 6 games, and the running game improving with Murray and even better when Ryder returns. The kicking game is solid with Almeida and Suhar, and the number of penalties is lower than normal over 7 games.

The Raiders still have some challenges for the regular season, especially playing B-W in Berea. It has been awhile since B-W has had only one loss before playing the Raiders. First and foremost is Otterbein in Westerville! :)

I definitely agree with HSC, Larry tends to go right at the other teams strength and take it way. Also agree that the opening kick, might just be a squib

Yup all the way back to 2008.  And before that, all the way back in 2006.

My comment  should have stated that B-W has not had only one loss when they played the Raiders later in the season or 6 out the last 10 years.

                            B-W record -Regular season
2000  Game 9            6-4
2001  Game 9            6-4
2002  Game 2            8-2
2003  Game 2            8-2
2004  Game 8            6-4
2005  Game 8            4-6
2006  Game 7            7-3
2007  Game 7            6-4
2008  Game 4            5-5
2009  Game 4            3-7

These are the facts.
