CONGRATS TO USEE!  Winner of the 2010 OAC Pick-Em Contest.

Results for the regular season finale have been posted.

As usual, there will be a separate Playoff Pick-Em's contest.  Spreads for the playoff games probably posted sometime Sunday night.  Or maybe Monday.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Given everything is pointing to a MU bracket in the "east".....For the second year in a row, we'll have Dr. Joy Solomen, Chair of the tournament selection committee on ITH tomorrow night - shows starts at 7:30 PM ET.

Our first guest will be the head coach Mark Raymond of the Saint Lawrence Saints who many, including the Guru himself, has predicted as the Purple Raiders first match up of the playoffs.  Although the "Larries" only finished 5-5, they made the playoffs, in Raymond's first year, for the first time in nearly 30 years and ran for over 300 yards against one of the best rush defenses in the country today.

Please post your questions here once the selections have been made so we can work them into our interviews with Coach Raymond and Dr. Solomen (who will appear after Raymond) accordingly (we'll have plenty of our own, but always open to input).

You can tune into ITH - www.inthehuddLLe.com or blogtalkradio.com/ith

Thanks and good luck to the Raiders (not that they need it) and other OAC teams (i.e., ONU) in the playoffs.

What pray tell am I missing?  WPI's rushing defense was ranked 114th in the nation going into today's game?

Now for my keen insight into today's Mt Union game which I left at the half. "The ride there and home was the most exciting part of the day, except maybe Cecil's first TD and Cecil's second TD."

one of the things I like about the play offs is that you get to see teams you never knew existed  ie st lawrence.
If they come to the Mt.  will this be another wiedner game  [70 - 0]?

You are missing TGP's ability to build anticipation and intrigue...  ;)

HScoach,

Thanks for all your hard work on the Pick-em's again this year. +k   :)

Congrats to USEE in a year where the picks/points were very difficult!

Thanks HSCoach for your efforts again this year. Your pickem's contest is the most enjoyable for me. It was just last year I put up a big fat zero one of the weeks (and I actually picked every game). It caused me to re-evaluate my picking process and I came up with a new, quantitative model that seems to have worked this year. Better lucky than good I guess. :)

Not that it matters much because it was still a blowout, but Widener scored 30 I believe.  They had 2 outstanding WR that year and threw a long TD on the first play of the game (just like Witt did the week before).  I just remember running the scoreboard that day wondering if it was possible to develop carpal tunnel at a work study job.

p.s. That was by far one of the most entertaining games I saw.  Just a track meet.  It was like a video game.

And being privie to the fact that LK was aware that Widener's coach had made a very rude post-game remark the previous week about wondering how it feels to have a 7 spot laid on you, made it even more fun to watch unfold

Good luck to mount and onu in the playoffs.  Hopefully one of you two can bring the championship back to t he oac again.  I'm happier with the 7-3 record this season but it's still mediocre.  Hopefully we build on it for next year.  this probably saved snell from people calling for his head for awhile.

Try to stick with the oranges here. We're not talking apples.
I see your point, but you miss mine.

It seems to me that the biggest little game in America every year is the Stagg Bowl, not a two-team rivalry in New England, especially one whose conference chooses to exclude itself from football playoffs.

Using your measures (attendance & number of games played), it looks like the Stagg Bowl can never bill itself as the biggest little game in America.   :'(
