Anybody looking for a Head Coaching job, the Tiffin U job just came open.

I have got to say, watching a good match-up in Ada certainly sounds better than what may be a replay of the last Mount Union-Bridgewater game in Alliance. (Read: Kicking FG's on first down)

How'd it go the next week?  I wouldn't want to be talking "repeating 2003" if I was a Raider.

As did Findlay's...

I don't know if he has a shot but this might pave the way for former ONU All-American Kory Allen to move up from associate head coach to the head man at Findlay.  He's been there for 6+ years and busts his tail on the recruiting side of things.  Good luck to Kory.

RC:  Funny you mention 2003.  Because this team reminds me very much of the 03 and 04 teams.  Good, but not great.  YET.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

OhNo:  Welcome aboard.

In regards to ONU/Witt, it's one of the games I'm really looking forward to.  If I wasn't busy with Mount and the HS playoff games on Saturday, I'd be traveling to Ada to watch that game.  Yes, Witt is undefeated but they've struggled with some very average NCAC teams.  If ONU shows up and takes care of the ball, the Bears should be moving on to Round 2 by double digits.

What's crazy is DePauw being the #3 seed ahead of ONU.  How a team that gets drilled 47-0 to the NCAC runner-up is seeded ahead of the team that gave up 20 less points to Mount is beyond me.  I would have loved to see ONU travel to Whitewater in Round 2.  That would have been a great measuring stick for both teams/conferences.  I'm sure many ONU faithful think their earlier Mount loss was simply a bad game and Whitewater is prone to believe the OAC is nothing beyond Mount.

North Central's draw of ONU in Round 2 will be a much tougher opponent than Whitewater will get with either DePauw or Trine.  For all the pissing & moaning going on in the WIAC page, the only difference is where the regional final will be played.  Whitewater's half of the North Region is easier that North Central's half.  And it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Whitewater hosting ONU in the regional final.

Coach,
You know better than that. Who really cares who we play in the 2nd round? I know I don't.  The moaning is because if the #1 and #2 teams keep winning we will be deprived of tailgating at the PERK. THAT'S IT. Nothing else.   8-)

And for that reason, I'm all about the Polar Bears winning.  Not because I think they'd be easier or because I'd be worried about NCC.  ;)

C'mon Seventies, you are quick as a flash/ quick as a wink/ quick as lightening.

According to EnglishClub.com:

quick as a flash | quick as a wink | quick as lightning

Meaning: If you're as quick as a flash, or quick as a wink, or quick as lightning, you're very quick.

Who woulda thought THAT was the meaning?  :D

Well, bad as it might be, if we used the BCS logic we'd have
1. North Central
2. Wheaton
3. Mt Union
4. Wesley
5. Whitewater
6. St Thomas
7. Linfield
8. Wartburg
9. MHB
10. Wittenberg

How about as a compromise, we play in Canton, OH, home of the Pro Football HOF.   ;)

Good one!  I had the exact same response when I read what stlarry had said.   ;)

Well, well, if we can both take care of the task at hand we might get to see the "what a defense" against a bonafide quarterback - in Ohio.

I was not able to post my traditional "what a defense" this year because of the 28's, 13's and 7's I saw.

DOC, I work in Portland and live in the metro area.
I've been to a dozen Linfield games in the last decade and can easily say they would match up well against the Raiders.  Just take care of business and you might earn a trip to "The Center of the Universe"  (what my ex-wife calls Alliance - she thinks it's a jab at me, a Mount grad).

There seems to be so much dicsussion about weeks 3 and 4 of the playoffs, but we not seen the first game as yet. Here is a start, IMHO!

1. Mount hosts a 5-5 team, Oh boy!
2. ONU hosts 10-0 Witt, good game, but ONU prevails
3. Trine hands DePauw their second loss in 2 weeks
4. UWW walks away big from Franklin
5. Delaware V. gets a scare, maybe?

Not true HScoach!! UWW played Capital a few years ago in the playoffs and it was a very close game through 3 quarters. Warhawks were able to pull it out in the 4th in a tough ball game. I think UWW has a lot of respect for the OAC. The fans will confirm that.
