No, but a backup QB did engineer 96 pts the last two weeks. Which is pretty good.

Trine is not the cupcake you seem to think they are, 70's, but I give up.......should just call NCC and forfeit. What's the point........................... :P ;)

The point is I don't think NCC is the capcake Trine was ;D ;D ;D

My point was that I'd understand bringing up the quarterback if they were low scoring games.  But, the offense was not UWW's problem.

If Franklin was down 7-0 at the half before UWW went on to win 38-7, or if the Trine score was 3-3 after 49 minutes before the backup quarterback finally got the offense together to score the final two touchdowns, the "backup quarterback" argument would carry more weight.

I don't know. 70's seeds to group teams like Trine and Franklin in with Benedictine and Endicott. I think those two teams (franklin and Trine) are more comparable to the OAC #2, CCIW #2, MIAC #2 teams in my view, maybe better. There isn't alot of difference between ONU, Wheaton, Bethel, Franklin and Trine in my view (I think you could throw in St Thomas and Linfield this year). They just come from MUCH weaker conferences.

Dang, just when we were finding some common ground on Trine, you gotta throw in Franklin. And in defense on the final fan poll I had Trine at 14, and Franklin 23. Heck I even lost my mind and made Wittenberg 24. I can see Trine making it to 11 or 12. After a year of listening to how Witt deserved respect for not getting murdered by Whitewater, I guess maybe they will  both fall out of the top 25. Gotta make room for Alfred and maybe St Lawrence for having the guts to show up. :D

Franklin would be lucky to beat Baldwin Wallace. It's been decades since anybody from that conference was a threat. And yes I remember that Mt St Joes was a momentary blip on the radar.

USee-You need to know the story about the Mount professor who once told me, "Ross, your the kind of guy who see's a glowing ember and feels he has to blow on it till there's a fire"

Have to disagree with you a bit on this one.  While probably not last year, I do think Trine would be comparable to the OAC #2 and #3 team, certainly this year.  But, we'll never know because they didn't play each other. ;D ;)

So how many points you figure NCC to score against UW-W, Altor?

There we have an agreement! :) (I wasn't including Franklin in my opinion either ;D  Sorry Franklin fans/colleagues ;))

so 70sRAider are you and Kevin packed yet to come down to the STAGG?  Cause if you are, you need to leave the *(&*&^%%$&& snow back where it belongs.  Last year was enough for the rest of my life.  And we have a decent start time this year!!3:30 so we can party hearty for more of the day!!  I can almost taste those buckeyes now!!  I imagine Kevin is pretty near 6 feet by now.  My hip is 1 1/2 years old and my right elbow is now bionic (in a piece-meal sort of way) but I am ready to enjoy another big national football championship tailgate and, of course, the game that comes along with it!! ;D ;D

70s- there is one more fan poll. After the stagg.

70s- you may have some memory issues. It was 2008 when Franklin beat the OAC #2 at their place in the tournament. Many of the same players on franklin team. alzheimers??

I posted this over on the MIAA board, but will post it additionally here since you also asked the question here.  My picks are a little different than hornet's.

I'm probably wrong, but I'm going with Mount Union, North Central, Wesley and St. Thomas!    Who are your picks?

P.S. Yes, after that shellshacking yesterday, it will be interesting to see if Rodriquez gets the axe.  I think he will be allowed to coach in whatever bowl game Michigan gets to, but if they lose in that one, especially if it is a bad loss, I would be disappointed if they didn't let him go.  BTW, Brian Kelly lucked out last night when ND beat USC.  While I am not a fan of the former, I don't like USC's new coach either.  Also, ND's freshman QB's dad is a full-time assistant coach at Northwestern (my 2nd most favorite Big Ten team ).
I hope ricjrod stays for a long time.  BTW my nephew put the hit on D. Robinson that put him out of the game in the 2nd quarter.  Go bucks.

Coach ianello's statement belongs in the same category as Rich Rod's after the thrashing at the hands of the Buckeyes,
"The worst is behind us.."

You're killing me i.e. RichRod! ;D ;D Congrats to your nephew and the Ohio State team for their fine victory.  They are a very good team; I admit also that I like Tressel in all aspects.  He runs a class program.  I also liked how he got on his players about the "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalties after their scores (i.e. the "Big O finger/hand formation).  While many people do not agree with that NCAA rule not allowing these young players to express their emotion after a great play or score, "rules are rules" and Tressel, IMO handles that well and appropriately.  Anyway, I'll be rooting for OSU in whatever bowl they end up going to (unlike some of your OSU people who wouldn't do that for our U of Michigan ;) :) :P ::))

Here's hoping there won't be any snow for this Saturday's game at Mount.  I remember going to a couple of playoff games there in the last decade and 1/2 and it is always colder with the snow! :)  BTW, has Mount fixed/upgraded the heating system in the Visitor's lockerroom under the stands yet? ??? :)
