Sidekick, Theaprof, HurfMUC, Mtfan, etc:  With a potential trip to Minnesota for the semi-finals screwing up our annual week 14 wing & beer fest, should we consider moving it up a week and do it this Friday night?  Or do we want to roll the dice that Bethel will save us?
I'm all for moving it up too Friday night, especially after the Dukes debacle last saturday night!!!! ::) and  Butchel being the new "Glenville of Akron".
The new wing's warehouse is fine with me!........and yes we will beer fest to a Bethel win among other things!

I hope Buchtel is more successful than Glenville.  For all their wins the Tarblooders have exactly 0 state championships.  A fact that is somehow oft overlooked.

TGP--thanks for the scoop on Alfred--+K for you--

Safe travels to all--the offer is still out there for a t-shirt or hat trade.  Let me know.

A group of Mount fans will be gathering at the Wing Warehouse on Friday evening--we would welcome any Alfred fans making the trip.  We are actually a pretty friendly group and would love to share stories with any fans that are traveling this way--we can even be kid friendly, if we have to.  WW is on State Street about 1.5 miles west of the stadium--it is very close to the Holiday Inn Express and Super 8 if you are staying in Alliance.  Look for the loud old guys dressed in PURPLE, black, and white.  I'm easy to spot--gray beard and long black pony tail--will probably be wearing a straw hat with a purple bandana for a headband.  Hope to see some of you there.

Pep is thinking you'd really like a fashionable AU Pep Bandanna that the band sells for $5 a piece for fund-raising (gas money). Extremely versatile, it has served as a dog scarf, a "terrible towel" but most recently, as a face warmer, with Kaz00 looking more like a Pep Bandit at the Cortland game. You'll love the color and it would be a nice back-up for your purple bandanna.

Bring one with you to the game, and I just might take you up on the offer.  I'll wander over to the band sometime in the second or third quarter.

I haven't wandered over to your board for quite a while...what's the latest mileage total on the minivan?

A most timely question as inspection expired Oct. 31, 2010; registration expires Dec. 31, 2010; said bandwagon is in need of a new exhaust system and, while initially this 1992 Grand Caravan LE was "loaded," only the bare necessities still function although the (second) engine is a workhorse with no signs of quitting. Pep is on the verge of "putting her down."

Odometer reads: 319,747

Pep has an offer of $200 for her at the local "auto museum," aka junkyard.

Pep was intrigued by the front page survey results:

Which road team has the best shot to win in the quarterfinals?

UW-Whitewater (4127) - 54%
Mary Hardin-Baylor (1771) - 23%
Bethel (1020) - 13%
Alfred (666) - 8%

6924 total votes

Does anyone else find the results rather interesting? Could say Alfred has a snowball's chance in Hell of pulling off a win, right?

I'm just amazed you found time to vote 666 times.

Hold out a band-danna for me.Can't pass up a potential dog scarf.

Hey, if you need to upgrade while in Ohio, my wife has a Town and Country with 189,000 and all the toys and gadgets work.

Don't worry.  I will vote for Alfred so that the total bumps to 667.  Mount should then be safe and you will no longer have a snowball's chance in hell.  Everything will be right with the world once again.

yes, that is amazing too with the talent that has come through that system.  High school 95% of the time comes down to discipline to win.

Hoping to see a larger crowd for the Mount/Alfred game. Classes are in session and Alfred is 265 miles away from Alliance vs. the 485 for the Delaware Valley supporters.

Great article on Lambert Budzinsky! He will have another monster game along with Cecil Shorts, IMHO.  :)

Excuse me if someone already explained it...but how is it that the North Central bracket and the UMU bracket are not the #1 and #2 seeds?

They clearly contain the two best teams in the country and neither of them should be playing a road game during the playoffs!

I'd have to pose that question to the Neurotic College Athletic Association
