I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Six straight hours of high school football, I may never bend my fingers again. Truly starting to wonder if the game in Alliance could possibly be worth missing one of the state final games. Maybe only for the "thrill" of meeting PeP

Ignoring the possibility of negative karma, does anyone know how the Otterbein Women did against Hardin-Simmons tonight?  [in Soccer ... sorry!   :-[]

Meeting Pep....likely today to be more of a chill than a thrill. Pep is overrated. Nothing to write home about. Suffice it to say that Pep is sentenced to life in Alfred. Once in awhile, he gets out for "good behavior." This just happens to be one of those times.

Safe travels to all.....and, On Saxon Warriors!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

About to head out on our way to Alliance.  Just wanted to take a second to thank everyone on the OAC board for letting us crash in and chat this week (and for reciprocating on the E6 board).  I'm looking forward to taking in the whole Mount Union experience and meeting several of you.

On Saxon Warriors!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Really?  I thought Pep was a "she".

Guess HSCoach needs to pay more attention.

Safe travels to all coming to Alliance.  And dress warm.

Bethel Royals=WTF

That is not the Bethel in Minnesota.  Bethel University = Bethel Royals.

I believe that is the Bethel College in Kansas based on the colors.  Bethel College (in Kansas) = Bethel Thrashers

Completely agree though on the insanity of this offensive "scheme".   :o

I love that the Ohio Athletic Conference board is discussing the AU/ MUC game and other playoff games, while the Empire 8 board is in a heated battle over whether Qatar deserves the 2022 World Cup bid.

You will find NO soccer discussions here, although we might talk about the Victoria's Secret Special.

I live in a town so violently anti-soccer that there are soccer balls nailed to the outside of the press box at the youth football field

It's time you move out of Butchel School District 70's..... ;D

Mount fans have probably enjoyed the D3 piece, "Finally comfortable", about Lambert Budzinski and previously knew that he was named for Jack Lambert.

From the all-knowing Wikipedia, you learn that when Jack was drafted, he was smaller than Budzinski is and never was bigger than Bud is now:

"Lambert was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 1974 NFL Draft, though many pro football coaches and scouts thought he was too small to play linebacker in the NFL. (Lambert played quarterback at Crestwood HS before switching to defensive end at Kent State.) While most of his pro career he was reported to be 6'4" and 220 pounds in the program, he measured 6'3½" and 204 pounds as a rookie."

Bud played linebacker all his life until Mount.  Jack played QB until Kent when he became a defensive end.  Could Bud play LB as a pro?  Hmmm.  It could be a lesser transition for Bud than was Jack's transition.

For the next three (?) games, I'll hear Lambert or Budzinski and think Jack Splat.
