I have nevr in my life the days that my son played at Mount!

I have been a fatherbragger to the hilt.

I have been to Mount Games when my son STARTED AT 3 position AT 1 TIME...
STILL NOTE SURE IF THAT WAS DONE B4

and had the HONOR of Ric represent ME  with a handshake at a game I just couldn't make [GOD REST MY SOUL]

It is with heavy heart, and much angst that I must report I will not be making what has become an almost annual trek to the Stagg Bowl.   

A company Christmas party on Friday, coupled with my usual "go to" dog-sitter bailing on me for Saturday means I will be watching my first Stagg Bowl from home in quite a while.  I didn't make the 2006 game, but I was in Chicago at the time and watched it at ESPN Zone (which was pretty cool).   y
In 2003 we didn't make the trip, and had to watch that debacle at the local BW-3's. 

To all who are going, please have one (or multiple) for me.  I will be tuning in with the D-III gang online, and obviously watching on ESPNU (which I get at my house).

My experience after just two years of watching, listening and learning is that the individual player knows better where he stands on the depth chart in relation to his fellow players than the parents do and they are also more accepting of coaching decisions made than parents

Olinemom has arrived at her usual abode, ther Quality on the roqad into the Satgg Bowl stadiu,/  It's cold, but sunny, but calling for snow and sleet tomorrow!  Planning on being at the Gagliardi and team luncheon and hope to see friends there!!  Lookinf forward to help at the tailgate before the game on Saturday!!!  Thanks for the great photo and the story re: Stone Stataion on the front page!!  See everybody soon!!

Olinemom, 02 Warhawk added a 7th factor to the list on the WIAC board: whose LOS will hold up best (perhaps already implied by #5, but a good thing to make explicit).  Surprised you haven't weighed in on that!

I'm going to go with a combination of #4 (UMU receivers) and #7.  IF the UMU offensive line can give Seaman/Piloto enough time, I don't think the UWW defensive backfield can stop Shorts, Miller, etc.  I'm among the front page survey voters saying UMU by 7+.  (Despite the fact that a UWW pummeling of UMU could move NCC to #3, or even #2! )

blutarsky, as the parent of a son currently in afghanistan, god bless your son and may he give you and the family the strength to deal with the deployment.  it is nice knowing that he will be with the best fighting force in the world and will come home safe.

We might be speaking the same terms here, with that location came years of tradition within the football family. Many a Mountie lived and enjoyed life there. SO we may be confused with time periods, I was one of the lasts to enjoy it... RIP 84 Overlook!!!!! LOL PM me and let us converse.

It is a TV show about a high school glee club. Very entertaining. UMUplayerdad was using it in an attempt to clown on me, turns out h was right, I am actually a fan.  Probably because I went to Mount a liberal arts school who works on creating a well rounded person. lol

On serious note: My son is a serious fan of Coach Vince, I mean he holds Larry in  absolute awe, but Vince is his buddy. I hate to think of my son at River Falls. The drives to Alliance and Tiffin are bad enough.

If Vince leaves it will because of a disenchantment with Giese and expect Larry to follow.
