Happy New Year Gang!

11 in '11.......it's now THE slogan!

Spent the night up in Cleveland at a shindig.  As we hung out with mostly the younger crowd, I kept saying to myself......did I really act like that when I was that age?"  Sadly, the answer was YES.   ::)

Anyway........hope you all had a good night, and have a GREAT year.

Time to veg and watch football.....

Re: Rose Bowl

After losing to such a small school in TCU (around 9K enrollment), the Badgers have announced they're moving down to Division III to play in the WIAC.

It makes sense because now the Big Ten can go back to the sensible 11-team format it's been used to for some time now and UW-Madison can finally challenge teams like Whitewater, Stevens Point, etc. instead of these Division I powers like TCU.

Also, the state of Michigan has elected to no longer fields Division I football teams.  Please direct your attention elsewhere.

Doesn't that upstart, TCU, know that they shouldn't be good enough to beat a team from a school with a 42K enrollment?  I mean, how did they find all those good players in a student body that small?   ::) ;) ;D

^  That's easy.  Transfers and a huge tuition advantage!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

For the Badgers maybe, if they'd made it work  :D - don't think anyone would call $41K/annually for tuition/R&B a real, tuition advantage unless TCU throws in all-you-can-eat, stockyard specials and icy ones at White Station BBQ  ;)
