CS3: Yeah I guess you could say that. I had three excellent years after he left and I defiantly learned a lot from Pierre

Defiant learning is new to me too.  ;)

Considering how Bleacher Reports completely botched the other quote above, I wouldn't put any stock that Cecil actually said 'defiantly'. ::)

Did the people from Bleacher Reports pass English, or that matter ever take it? :o

"English?  English?  We don't need no stink'n English!

This sort of stuff gets under my skin a little bit. It's nice to read and find DIII related news on a national level, but it's really a let down when the piece is of poor journalism quality. Basic fact and grammar checking goes a long way.

It's insulting to DIII fans, athletes and schools to see stuff like that, almost like we're not taken seriously....maybe I'm overreacting a little  :-[

Bleacher Report articles are written by amateurs and while edited a bit, can be as bad as the CS3 interview. Even a dumb old o-lineman like me has written articles for Bleacher Report. Not that they shouldn't have errors but you get what you pay for I guess.

Was it the 07 Stagg Bowl where the color announcer was referring to Mount Union as the Red Raiders periodically during the game? these are professional ESPN announcers too (even if they are the bottom of the barrel).

I remember watching highlights of the 07 game on FoxSports Net in Milwaukee and the anchor said "Nate Kmish ran the ball for...." (or something to that degree).  ::)

I bet they'll never make the mistake of calling Southern Cal the Romans.  :-\

reality check

Video on ESPN about how the Super Bowl footballs are made in Ada.  Cool video.

I still wish Vagedes latched on somewhere in the NFL so we could have watched videos about the kid who spent summers making the balls that he's catching on fall Sundays.

PG:  CS3, here's how you cut off a pattern when it's two deep coverage.
CS3:  Prove it!
PG:  Which game film do you want to see it on?
CS3: Game film? Game Film? Prove it on the field.

After the game on Saturday
PG: Did you see how to cut off the pattern against two deep.
CS3:  Yeah, but I don't have to like it!

Defiant learning!  ;D

Burst out laughing. +1 and I'll +1 you again the next time I'm on the board. :)

National DI signing day. I guess that makes the next six months, "Mis-Informed Newspapers Claim Kids sign Letters of

Uggghhh!  One of my pet peeves.....

Great article from the Columbus Dispatch about how some of the recruiting classes from OSU have worked out.  It's interesting that some of the best players from THEosu have not been the 5-star, "everybody wants" recruit.  Sometimes it's the development of the players, how much they want to work, and how they fit in the system that ultimately matters.  I look at some of the young faces on these TV "signing moments" and think about how they have been catered-to over their high school years.  Their potential success in college begins the first day they set foot on campus--how hard they work in the weight room, the film they watch, listening to their coaches, and attitude.  "The Vest" does a great job of getting kids that will fit into his system.......so does Coach Kehres.

GOod Point Blu! I agree too much hype is put into the attention given the highly recruited athletes and more often than not they don't pan out! It's the ones under the radar that may not shine til given more of an opportunity at the college level and haven't formed the "attitude" some carry to campus with them.

Maybe they bailed on him at the 11th hour?  I know he has had one surgery, and is waiting to have his other new scoped as well.  I know for darn sure we would take him!
