No problem Duff, these kids are just trying to make the season honor the loss of a friend and mentor

BTW Mount ladies start the OAC Tourney Tuesday at home against Otterbein.

Headed to Vegas for the Nike Coach of the Year Clinic early in the morning.  I get to hear how not to handle clock management from Les Miles, how to accept a job that noone else wanted from Brady Hoke and how to stick your foot in your mouth when speaking to alumni/boosters from Lane Kiffin.

I hope I learn something new but last year was kind of cool really digging into the fly sweep with lil' old Willamette's HC Mark Speckman.

His best line while showing a play where the fly sweep was taken around the perimeter only to be caught from behind 25 yards downfield as the kid ran out of gas...

"He's not real fast but that kid can kick your @ss in calculus".

If the speakers suck, at least we're in Vegas.

Ooh, cheap shot, RC! :o

Despite the best (worst?) efforts of RichRod, Michigan still has the most wins of any school in football history.  And Brady Hoke was always my first choice (even over Harbaugh).  (Well, to be honest, Fielding Yost was my first choice, but he'd be 140 years old before the season started! ;D)

They are down now, but Michigan is still a premiere job.  Arguably even THE premiere job.

DuffMan-After enduring a fatal bus crash on their way home from a duel at ONU which claimed the life of the head of the athletic training program I'm not sure talent, or ability matter much to our wrestling team. They are performing totally out of their heads

I was not aware of that.  Sorry to offend.  :-\

Duff.......it wasn't offensive whether you knew or not.  No biggie.....

Oh...and you will always have it over Mount in hockey....... ;)

Speaking of hockey...went to my first live NHL game Wednesday in Columbus.  It was entertaining to say the least...no big fights though.  At $100 a ticket (four club seats a vendor gave me) I certainly wouldn't be going on a regular basis.  WOW is pro sports frickin' expensive!

FOR ONCE can the Browns pick a local kid that actually makes good!  CS to the Browns in round 3 or 4?  Wouldn't THAT sell a few tickets!

At the new Meadowlands Stadium they were charging 9.00 for a large cup of Bud at a concert.  Good thing the Jets were trying to sell my former employer a suite and I took the wife to see Bon Jovi for free in the Jets suite with free top shelf drinks and food.  MKS loves Bon Jovi, I had a get out of jail free card for a couple of months after that one.

You said it friend, pro sports is so expensive.  I'd rather spend my $ on going to a DIII (or occasionally a DII) game! ;)

Columbus has Pro Soccer and Pro Hockey, I always knew it was a foreign land. I gave my front teeth to hockey. I should get a lifetime pass.

Even the Mahoning Valley Scrappers are getting a little pricey

After all this talk about the high cost of Pro Sports, I sat in the hospitality suite at the OAC Swim meet tonight during the diving portion for about an hour and listened to Larry tell Mt Union football stories to the other "lane-timers", all of whom were students.

Somethings you just can't buy  ;)

Wow.  Otterbein and B-W both outdraw Mount Union in average home game attendance.  What's with that you guys? ??? ;)

1,000 mile drive (one way) is tough to make home games in Alliance.

Formerd3db,

Here is a quick answer.

1. Attendance last season was in part who Mount played where. Mount was away for both Ott and B-W.

2. The playoffs do not draw well, due the date of 2nd game Thanksgiving weekend and travel distance for playoff teams

3. Few students attend due to Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

4. The Thanksgiving weekend playoff game only draws less than 2,000 people.

These factors bring the average down for the most part.
