Kyle Miller, Lambert Budzinski and Samy Guerro on the Senior Bowl roster for Mount. I'll put my money on the north with Kyle Simmons and Andrew Miller throwing to Frank Ross, Kyle Miller and Mike Preston,

I think Guerro is having some fun with the committee, he is listed as a fullback

Seventies,

Where is the write-up on this, must have missed it? :)

It was on the Capital site that Dom D'Andrea and Sam Jacobs worked out for scouts at OSU's pro day.  I haven't been able to see any of their results.  Anyone got anything?

JK,

That information must be top secret. No results for Kyle Miller either!

Hope all is well!

Word is that Kyle Miller was asked to do a private workout with Jacksonville. Otterbien's Dominic Jones was at one of the OSU Pro Days. Looks like Dominic was using Otterbien to get his face back out there

Preston and Miller showed well enough to continue into position drills

Not sure if this is "news" or not but Tom Manning former Raider lately of Toledo Univ. will coach the offensive line this year at Mount.  Coach Wakefield will coach the linebackers.  The word at the M-Club banquet is that the Raiders are hungry and loaded.

reality check

ONU will host North Carolina Wesleyan to open the 2011 season.  NCW is 36-17 in the last five years with two playoff appearances.

ONU is 36-16 in that same time span.

That's a pretty solid opener for both schools and even though the Battling Bishops have a ways to drive, it's nice to see teams stepping up to see where they stand.

Is it September yet?

The guy holding that "Raider Nation" towel is Brett Baker.  Graduated from Mount in '10, played Defensive back.

Reality Check,
Any news or clues as to who will replace the 1-2 punch in the offensive backfield from last year.

purple,

"the Raiders are hungry and loaded." This comes as no surprize given last
year's title game. The question for this year, who will be the leaders? :-\

John Atkinson looks to be the front-runner based on 2010 to replace Kyle Simmons.  He played as Simmons' back-up for the entire season and saw some action.  I don't know much about him other than the fact he's listed as smaller than Simmons but then again Simmons was pretty light when he started at ONU and bulked up over his years.

As for Donley's successors, both Seadrick Marshall and Demarquis Payne are supposed to be back and they got a fair amount of carries spelling Donley in 2010.  They're both little guys though so who will be the bruiser remains unclear.

Listened to the Wooster coach explain that he will never play Mount Union because his school costs 48,000 a year. I think I puked a little in my mouth. Rationalization. Justification, Masturbation. They are all the same; just screwing your self

Seventies,

I read his speech, and I was puzzled that a coach wanting to improve his program and attract talent would make such a point that Wooster costs so much. Why even mention that at all?  The Mount Union comment tied with that and the "never" comments is plain stupid. I think he did help the other NCAC schools in recruiting by convincing  potential recruits not to come to Wooster! ::)
