My younger daughter went to COW--although I was never impressed with their football team, I was impressed with their marching band and with many of the traditions that the band and the football team have.  The piping on of the team by the bag pipers is a really impressive tradition.

I always loved the pipers coming over the hill into the stadium. Unfortunately they built the new rec center on that hillside. Beautiful school, but the PE facilities don't match the rest of campus. Glad to see the snack bar in the campus center is still named Mom's

So the other 26 teams don't need or want receivers this year?  I will bet that the number of teams that draft a WR in this year's draft is closer to 16 than 6.  27 WR's were drafted last year so I think Cecil has a shot.

Sure, they all do, but the article focused on 6 teams that have some real concerns due to retirements, salary issues etc, therefore needing more than normal!

Kurt "Happy Feet" Rocco wows them in Tampa. Guess the Gladiators got themselves a new QB

Watched part of the Cleveland-Tampa game last night on the local Cable Channel.  Rocco looked good, hit open receivers and even had a short TD run.  Not too shabby.

Hope he keeps it going! :)

Rocco certainly has the size/ arm.  If he impresses in the indoor version perhaps he can parlay that into an invite for a tryout somewhere for the outdoor version of the game (if/when there is a season).  I think he could be a servicable backup after looking at some of the current NFL clipboard jockeys.

Small but Slow

Watching the Cleveland v Tampa Bay Arena game replay yesterday K. Rocco reminded me of a taller more athletic version of Kurt Warner.  His quick release and accuracy may translate to the NFL.  He has an uncanny ability to throw accurately with power or touch even while backing away or scrambling.  He seems to be a bit of a late bloomer with his best football in front of him.

Other than Tom Manning joining the Raiders coaching staff, I assume the
staff from 2010 will be in tact for 2011? Can anyone confirm? :-\

No idea, I'm still trying to find out from my Nebraska friends if Ross Watson is coming back for another year with the Cornhuskers

(Been informed that's a yes)

If that kid was going to Mount Union it would have been stated in the post but since he's not, you force the hand of all of us non-Purple Raiders to read the article with a level of anticipation to see if he's actually picked our school.

He's a lineman though so I should have known he was headed to the Berg.

Another Pasco County, FL commitment to the OAC.

I should have had Taylor talk to Seltman about MTU instead of the Berg.  At least he'll have Hallett as a HC.
