Hey do you know anything about the new BB coach for the Raiders .....a high school coach? anyway hope all is well and talk to you soon.

What I'll say about Coach Fuline is that we in the Portage County League had a party when he left to move up to big school BB. I don't think Mount has had a basketball coach of his skills and energy in my lifetime.

That would be several lifetimes even before my parents lifetime at Mount. ;)

At least several of Coach Fuline's lifetimes  8-) I dare say you remember such luminaries as Coach Fisher and Caoch Parsons

From Mount Union SID Lenny Reich:

St. Joseph's (Buffalo) senior Brandon Robinson has committed to attend the University of Mount Union and compete on the football team this fall.

Robinson, a 5-6, 16-0-pound defensive back, was a two-year letterwinner who was an all-area selection and team most improved player for coach Dennis Gilbert.  He had  77 career tackles with a pair of fumble recoveries and a sack.

He plans to study criminal justice -o-

(He sounds a bit more like the prototypical Mount player, too small to get a look elsewhere)

I don't think 5'6" is prototypical for a Mount Union player.

K & J's Dad,

Agree, cannot remember when a Mount db was 5'6". It will be tough to cover the taller WR's these days.

I guess the thought was: too small for DI/DII.

Way more prototypical than 18 years old and 320 pounds

What I noticed was there was no mention of INT's  ;)

He better have a 48 inch vertical leap

SF doesn't think this is a great move for UMU to 'sign' this guy... he's short and don't people from Buffalo smell funny??

--Mount needs to spend their money on better prospects than this..

I wondered the same thing considering the location and last name. A-Rob, one of my all-time favorite Purple Raiders.

It might be the case here or it might not be, but not all "recruits" are recruited by the coaching staff.  Remember its division 3 so the only real thing you have to do is show up the first day of camp.  Joe Shmoe  can live in Atlanta Georgia and say hes going to Mount, ONU, JCU, or anywhere and the coaches have never heard of him before.

TheManInBlack

Speaking of Aaron Robinson I had heard he's running for Mayor or City Council or something in his hometown...
