Just scanned through the notice of allegations to OSU about the football program...

Any truth to the rumor that if the former OAC QB from the 1970's doesn't survive with his job that another former OAC QB from the 70's might replace him?

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Crap like that former BW QB is facing is why "the kid from Diamond" stays put

I received at least 5 recruit announcement in the last day. S/B some stuff in local papers this week. If not I'll try to get caught up next week after the Mogadore School levy vote. Till then I'm very busy confusing people that know everything with facts.

Here's a couple (hell it's 4 AM, what else do I have to do?)

Mansfield Madison High School senior Alex Goff has committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play on the football team this fall.

Goff, a 6-5, 285-pound offensive lineman, was an all-district and all-conference selection for coach Sean Conway at Madison High School.

Troy High School senior Kyle Terando has committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play on the football team this fall.

Terando, a 6-0, 190-pound defensive back, had 120 tackles, eight interceptions, 12 pass breakups and returned a punt for a touchdown last season for coach Steve Nolan at Troy High School.

Garrettsville Garfield High School senior Brent Marshall has committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play on the football team this fall.

Marshall, a 6-0, 230-pound linebacker, was an All-Ohio, all-district and all-county selection for coach Steve Wyllie at Garfield High School.

Akron Garfield High School senior Donald Mercilus has committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play on the football team this fall.

Mercilus, a 5-11, 195-pound defensive back, was an all-district and all-city selection for coach Bob Sax at Garfield High School

And four more:

Four Cleveland area high school seniors have committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play on the football team this fall.

Brunswick High School teammates Nicholas Langowski and Kendrick Dobbins, Jr.., Glimour Academy senior Cameron Carmen and Olmsted Falls senior Connor Cantrell.

Langowski, a 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver and long snapper was a three-year letterwinner.  He plans to study sport business

Dobbins, a 6-5, 225-pound defensive lineman, was an all-conference selection, four-year letterman who plans to study biology

Both played for head coach Luke Beal at Brunswick High School.

Carmen, a 6-3, 275-pound center was the team captain and two-time team offensive player of the year for coach Matt Simon.  He plans to study political science

Cantrell, a 6-2, 215-pound linebacker and punter was an All-Ohio, all-district and all-conference selection for coach Jim Ryan at Olmsted Falls High School.  In 2010, he had 132 tackles, 19 for loss and nine sacks along with 49 punts for a 37.0 yard average

Yeah all those recruits sound like they're a tad too small or a little light for their respective positions.

I like 6'3" 275 lb centers and 6'5" 225 lb d ends.  Ad about 10-15 lbs to them by the time they grow a little more and they are right in line for what MUC needs (I know its UMU but I refuse to recognize that change for a little longer).

Yeah, more in the way I interpreted it when reading it.  The other local paper down here had a picture of him the other day "signing his name" to play for Heidelberg.

Rumor from the Stark County track meet last weekend...

Allegedly there is a transfer currently attending classes at Mount that will change the receiving corp dramatically for LK next year.  I would guess Theaprof could confirm or deny such a rumor.

I will be honest, I didn't get the transfers name, or the where/how regarding such.  I was too busy watching Jr.'s 4 X 100 team get a hard lesson on what "fast" really is these days.   :D

On a bragging parent note (when am I not?), Jr. has clocked an 11.15 hand-timed, and an 11.4 electronic-timed 100 so far this year.  Not shabby for a freshman.

That is all for now......carry on!   ;)
