Rumor from the Stark County track meet last weekend...

Allegedly there is a transfer currently attending classes at Mount that will change the receiving corp dramatically for LK next year.  I would guess Theaprof could confirm or deny such a rumor.

I will be honest, I didn't get the transfers name, or the where/how regarding such.  I was too busy watching Jr.'s 4 X 100 team get a hard lesson on what "fast" really is these days.   :D

On a bragging parent note (when am I not?), Jr. has clocked an 11.15 hand-timed, and an 11.4 electronic-timed 100 so far this year.  Not shabby for a freshman.

That is all for now......carry on!   ;)

skunks_,

Maybe another Garcon/Shorts type? ;D

Somebody better keep an eye on the Student Princes...  ;)

Wow, Tampa to Tiffin. (Insert the sound of me scratching my head)

Heard something similar. There weren't comparisons to Garcon/Shorts from what I heard, but like Mr. Skunks, I didn't get too deep into the details. If the person is who I think it may be, the Garcon/Shorts comparisons would be accurate if this person has the hunger those two did.

My information didn't come from the usual "sources".   8-)

It was from an employee/professor (not sure what he does at Mount), and as I said previously, I didn't ask any questions or hear anything more.

His quote was something like......."that new transfer we got is another Garcon/Shorts type receiver".

We need on-campus verification.........OH RUDY???????????   :)

Thanks to Coach Hallett for passing this link along:
D3 Stars workout for the Browns

Despite his statement later in the vid, I really hope Frank Ross has other options. I always thought he was a better QB. There's always Canada and Arena

Within hours we will find out if the ten optimistic people who thought Cecil would go high are right

reality check

According to ESPN Draft Tracker Cecil Shorts plays in the Big 12.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/player?id=26160&action=upsell&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2fdraft%2fplayer%3fid%3d26160

This explains a lot about Mount Union and the competitive imbalance the OAC deals with.  When you play an opponent year after year that's actually a member of the Big 12, it makes things tough.

Good luck to Cecil in his prospect of being drafted this weekend.
