Raider 68

The Raiders have back to back night games this fall! For some that is great, but for others it is Saturday afternoons. :-\

purple,

Had a meeting at Mount last Thursday and was told that the Coaches are really excited about how the WR's and QB's look thus far this summer. Just confirms your earlier post! ;D

The coaches shouldn't know much about how the QB's and WR's look this time of year should they?  I know some former ONU coaches that learned that lesson.

Summer workouts by the players are voluntary and run by the players. Feedback comes from observers (fans, alumni) who simply pass along observations.

I wonder if these "observers" who pass the information back to the coaches can be considered boosters or agents for the school? If the NCAA Infractions Committee didn't have so much on their plate at the present time (thank you Tenn; thank your tOSU!), they might have their own opinions to offer about this!!   ;)  ;)  ;)

BoBo,

Alliance is a small town, there have always been people ( just interested in football) who watch the players workout even for the HS team. This has been a common occurrence for 40-50 years in Alliance and probably happens at many other colleges in small towns!

If Larry Kehres starts to value my opinion and the opinion of Raider 68, the position of village idiot in Alliance will be filled. All he says when he see's me is, at least I'm not the oldest guy in room anymore

Thank you for enlightening me to how summer workouts are run.  Also it is interesting that your description omits coaches yet you started by saying the coaches are very excited about how things look.  I'm sure nothing is going on but you aren't helping the cause.

RC....I know you are just doing a little "tongue in cheek", but to call out Mount for any innappropriate behavior in the summer is just a tad beyond funny.  I know you still bear the scars from ONU's summer debacle, but seriously?

If you think (which I know you know better) that ANY coach doesn't know what his players are doing in the summer...who is doing what......HOW they are doing it......then you were really never part of the deal.  Which we both know wasn't the case.

Raider 68 can get a little "enthusiastic" when it comes to Mount, but at times you really have to understand where he is coming from.  He is all GA GA about anything Mount.  He loves his school, and I respect that.

reality check

I wasn't calling out Mount.  I was calling out Raider68 for saying something about Mount that could be misconstrued while poking fun at what happened to us years ago in Ada.

I would imagine nothing fishy is going on in Alliance but 'ga ga' or not, Raider68 says some things that are call-out worthy from time to time.  Saying how good the coaches think the players look in JUNE would be one of those things.
