Couple of more Tampa players headed to the OAC:

http://www.tampabay.com/hometeam/blog/quartet-crusaders-sign-colleges/9954/

John Carroll:  "Aaron Buckley, a two-way football standout at linebacker and fullback, will attend John Carroll University, a Division III Catholic university located in Cleveland.  Buckley, who made 100 tackles last season and will play linebacker at JCU, was a two-year starter for the Crusaders after transferring from Alonso.'

Ohio Northern:  "Special teams standout Austin Griffin, who returned five kickoffs/punts for touchdowns this past season, signed a letter of intent with Division III Ohio Northern, where he will play defensive back and returner."
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

I'm sorry, but why would anyone from Tampa go to Ada and pay their own way for 4 years. For me, the swap off of Omaha for Alliance wasn't that bad

There is no DIII or JC football in FL.  Lots of talent down here that small schools up North are just recently (last 10 years or so) finding.

Dad, where did players who wanted to continue playing in college, play 10 + years ago, if it wasn't up North? Did they not play at all?

I've been down here since 2003.  I think most of them either went the JUCO route in the Midwest or didn't end up playing at all.  Some played DII college in the South (Georgia and Alabama).

Mark Grossman was part of the broadcast team, but has committments that have caused him to move on.
He was exceptional in teaming with Ric Brienza. :)

If you want updates on the USA team Larry and Erik are coaching for you can become a Facebook Friend of International Federation of American Football (IFAF)

In order to draw down the field, I will NOT be in the booth with RIC. I think there is a court order keeping us 25 feet apart. Maybe for an extra pizza or two Joe Tait could do color from the TV booth

Just thought I should remind people this is an OAC thread and not a Mount Union one haha.

So what are your guys thoughts

The Samba kid from Aurora was a definite score. The Bay QB was probably the best player on an awful team in a lousy league.  Not sure about anybody from Jackson-Milton, small, small school that gets hammered every week. They won 7 games during his high school career, good training for John Carroll

It will remain a Purple Raider hangout if Blue Streak for life can't invest 60 seconds of alumni pride into registering

Samba is a very good athlete and will help JCU a lot.  JCU is also getting a WR transfer that came from Aurora High School that I think will be of some help.  he played as a freshaman at Hobart and I think he will start at JCU.
