Preston, formerly of the Student Prince, is getting some love from the espn broadcasters. He's on Utah's afl team facing Kurt Rocco and the Gladiators tonight. Found a free web stream via the Gladiators site and hooked it into my TV.

Good luck, Nate.  The Finnish team has obviously pushed past the "not from Finland" stigma.  I hope their O Coordinator isn't from Latvia or Estonia and only likes those Baltic running backs......

To get this straight. Nate signed with Lappeenranta Rajaritarit (Border Knights) of the Finnish Maple League who lost their tailback for the season with 3 games remaining. They are currently in 4th place and hoping to make a run for the title.

I saw this in the The Las Vegas Review Journal yesterday and thought it was worth sharing. Ron Kantowski wrote about some of the good things that came out of previous NFL labor disputes. On of the things he mentions is CBS's live broadcast of the 1983 Wittenberg/B-W game.

It kind of makes one nostalgic for the OAC's glory days. :-*

Great to see August and Footballs in the air! It seems like this has been a long quiet summer this year! :)

Raider66 would have been able to answer with what the first nationally televised MUC game was at Alliance, but I do remember that it was before the light poles were moved out of camera view

I miss the audio archives of Mark and Ric's broadcasts. I liked to cut and save favorite sound bites. I also regret not  hearing the play by play and commentary during the 2009 weather- rescheduled Stagg Bowl, because the DVD was set up at home for the original game time. I've searched the MU and ESPN sites for an archive of that Stagg 09, but no luck.  Any suggestions?

Just read on Mt Union's Facebook site that Kyle Miller might be signing with Jacksonville. How cool is that?  I wonder who else has a shot? What a great guy, Kyle. Congratulations to him.

Got a gander at the new turf installed at Mount.  It's visually eye-grabbing with the black endzone with purple/white letters.

Cecil tweeted the same regarding Kyle Miller.  I don't know guys.....but I am up for a road/air trip to a Jacksonville game this year.  Jacksonville Purple Jaguars!   ;D

Or a trip up to Cleveland on November 20 when the Jags visit

PS - you are missing the "get out of the cold and go where it's warm" aspect of this road trip.   ;)

I would guess CSIII will need to get a "few" tickets for friends/family/former teammates that day in Cleveland.
