I think Kyle might have his work cut out for him.  The Jags just picked up another TE, giving them six on their roster right now.  One would have to think that they will cut at least one TE by Tuesday, when they have to be down to 80 players.  Hopefully he can long snap his way on to the team, at least as the backup LS.

Seventies,

The long snapper opportunity may just be Kyle's opportunity, but I thought that was the Jags interest from the beginning. Being a good TE is just an added bonus. Best wishes for him! :)

Pretty cool picture posted on the Mount Union Facebook page.....two UMU graduates on the Jaguars sideline!  At least it's pretty cool if you're a Mount follower.  :-\

I guess the only thing better would be two UMU graduates with their helmets on and playing at the same time vs the Titans on Sept 11!! Good luck to both in their quest to make the 53 man roster!!

Keep it going Cecil! Hoping the Kyle will fill the Jags need for the long snapper for the next five games! I understand that the Raiders have a top talent freshman WR in camp!'
We will see how he performs! :)

Hopefully there is more than one.

Anybody make it out to the scrimmage today?

raiderpa

Jaguars signed another long snapper,  five year vet, Jake Ingram.  This cant bode well for Miller....

I watched a little of the scrimmage and had to leave early so my impressions are limited.  Personally, I thought Piloto looked sharper than Seaman, and no one stood out at RB. Defense was vanilla, and gave up more than I thought it would with the experience coming back.  W and J, I thought looked real promising for the PAC and the Raiders have a lot of work to do.  I cannot speak for the end where they usually go with the offenses and first downs, etc. so would be anxious to hear how it finished.
Looked like one big O lineman may have broken an ankle early in the scrimmage.

Miller still has another position, something most long snappers don't have. Jake Ingram is a five year practice squader. I would hope Kyle beats him out

Hey Smed ... thanks for the wake-up call.

I offered to run the Pick-Ems awhile ago if I could get someone else with a bit more football background to help with the spreads.  [Cue the crickets!]

So, I offer three alternatives ...

[1] I run the pick-em and set the spreads, even tho they will suck something awful.
[2] I run the pick-em and some kind person helps me with the spreads.
[3] I run the pick-em and the winner of each week sets the spreads for the next week.
[4] I run the pick-em without spreads.
[5] Someone else does this.

Personally, I think option 3 is pretty rad.  But if no one responds, we go with option 1 or 4 [until everyone quits playing!]

So let's hear it ... Ric is Casper ... what do y'all want?
