In addition to those two exceptional athletes you had Dom Capers on that team and Coach Ron Lynn too. Not a bad collection of football talent and knowledge in one place. We all know of Dom's success in the NFL and Coach Lynn has been with many pro and college teams. He is currently in charge of player development at Stanford University. Not bad for good ol' MUC oops, I mean good ol' UMU. ;)

Had the good fortune to spend an hour or so in the hospitality room at the OAC swim meet with Larry spinning or all of us who were working as officials. The best one was about Larry and several team members driving to southern Ohio  to encourage Dom to come back to school. Dom had left school because he missed his girl friend. Can you imagine NFL history without him? Especially last Super Bowl

ONU wins over Carolina Wesleyan 38-20.

Didn't get a chance to follow the game at all today because my real job (coaching high school football) got in the dang way.  I looked at the stats and I realize I will need to get used to lots of new names for the Polar Bears this season.  Good start though against a solid non-conf opponent.

Bein 86

Looked like a nailbiter for the Cardinals although Trey had a heckuva game.  Nearly 200 yards receiving and 2 scores is a solid start to a season.

According to the Jags beat writers on twitter, Jacksonville has cut two of the TE ahead of Kyle on the latest depth chart.  That leaves four TE on the roster, have to wonder if they keep three or four?

Florida Times-Union reporting that Miller was informed on Friday that he would be cut, but NFL.com doesn't have an official announcement yet.

The JAG'S site lists Kyle as one of the final cuts

Kyle Miller and the Berg's Mike Preston were both final cut victims.  Hopefully each can find another team to give them a shot via practice squad or otherwise

Well said, maybe a team will consider them as the season progresses, due to injuries! :)

Given all the craziness of the offseason, I think there'll be a lot of teams keeping close tabs on these guys that made it all the way the final cuts. Especially a guy like Miller who can promote himself as a contributor in a variety of positions.

Looks like he didn't get signed to the Jags practice squad. Is there a chance he got signed by another team?

The spreads for Week #2 have been posted.

Congrats to Reality Check for taking the first week with 10/14 points.  And kudos to 02 Warhawk for being the only person to pick both the OTT-Gallaudet and AUG-Dubuque games correctly.

Looking forward to Mount's home opener, it seems like a long time since last season! :)
