Is it true that herbie street had to move out of columbus due to his booth buddy being so disliked in columbus?

I just hope Robinson lasts until the OSU game this year so my nephew can knock him out of the game like he did last year.  Just for reference my avatar is a picture of the play he did it on.

For sure, there is a long way to go yet until that date. Your nephew's team will have to play much better than they what they did against Toledo yesterday ;D, although I'm sure he/they will as each week goes by.  But, alot can happen until then and it's early yet.

Skunk & I gave yesterday's effort a "B".  The game went about as expected considering Oshkosh was playing game #2.  They are who we thought they were.

Shouldn't be much of a challenge the next two night game weeks, so I think I will get some positive karma from my significant other by staying home.

Jr.'s HS team broke their losing streak by winning big against BJ Payne's team.  Jr. broke the lineup, and did quite well for his first varsity start.

I think Toledo is a pretty darn good team, and the Buckeyes "troubles" were more because of Toledo's play, rather than that OSU is that bad.  Time will tell in the next few weeks.

Jay.......I will email you about an upcoming Hoover game.

No... they didn't like HIS comments... which is a shame because it means they didn't like that he was fair and balanced with his reporting.  He lives in Nashville now... which is much better anyhow -- the talent is tremendous down in TN.  :)

Mt's JV team was winning. Game was eventually cancelled due to weather conditions.

It appears LK has a dilemma with regards to a QB. I was surprised that Pilato got as much time as he did unless LK has second thoughts about Neal running the offense. Frankly I have a little more confidence in Matt than Neal as it gives the "O" the option of throwing the ball down the field...Neal still seems to lack arm strength. Murry ran well against a tough defense...125 yards on 20 carries.

Oshkosh's QB was impressive...that kid was slippery and had a good arm.

All in all a good first half of football...second half not so good.

After having seen the game, Coach Kehres has given N. Seaman every opportunity to win the job. IMHO, He will not be the guy long term. M. Piloto just has a better arm and touch. You have to be consistent most all the time, and Seaman just is not. While it was the first game it was for both QB's Next week could be more rotating equally. By ONU, Coach Kehres may have his starter. Some real bright spots today, but some areas that need work. The Titans QB Wara, may be one if not the best Mount faces this year. UW-O has some real athletes and are a solid team.  :)

Better arm for sure.  The rest?  I have to respectfully disagree, 68.  As purpled said, Piloto gives them the home run threat.  If he was also the more consistent QB with better touch I think Neal would be holding a clipboard.  I think the reason Seaman is the starter is because LK sees him as the more consistent thrower on the short/intermediate plays.  I went back and looked at the stats.  He completed over 70% in 7 starts last year.  Less than 60%?  Twice.  He's not flashy, he doesn't have the gun...but LK sees something that keeps him on the field.  My uneducated guess is it's consistency and (mostly) smart decision making.  Either way as we saw last year in the playoffs it's a luxury to have 2 good QB's like we do.

Dr. Acula,

That may have been true last year, but you have to look at this year. Neal just was not consistent on Saturday after watching him. The qb's will rotate, but given Mount's WR's I would take Piloto. In 2003 the Raiders made to the Stagg with 2 qb's, so we will see! :) :)

Yea we all know how that turned out? >:(

We have two players that each have their stengths and they do offer different challenges for defenses. If anyone can make this work it is LK since he had the same experience when he played at Mount as part of a QB rotation. I like the mobility of Seaman but his side arm tosses are easy to knock down. He can gain extra time and opportunities with his scrambling and we have receivers who can get open. That also works in Matt's favor but his rocket arm tends to over shoot wide open guys. Maybe additional playing time wil help with this issue. There is only one Nate but lets not forget Murray did have 1600 yds last year and looked good on Saturday.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

raiderguy,

True in 2003, but St. John's just played better, and both Mount's QB did not have a good game!

When you have a number of good WR's headed by Collins, the Raiders need that QB who can get them the ball most often. I just do not the Seaman is the guy. Is Seaman more mobile yes, but Mount looks to be
more pass oriented this year vs. run. As long as they win, that is the key. :)
