although a small sample size, I thought Denton looked pretty good on Saturday.  Looked pretty quick in the slot.  And who is Julius Moore?  We thought we were loaded at WR this preseason with Collins, Brown, Mathie and Claycomb, now these two have emerged I hope we have enough footballs to go around.  That being said Claycomb is not on the depth chart for this week.

Also good to see OL Matt Mattox last week.

Just heard Trent Dilfer talk about balance of play calling. He said in speaking with the most successful college and NFL coaches it has to be around 65% pass and 35% run to gain yards. Running is more about keeping people honest, but passing is what gains yards and will win games. Kind of a consensus that now even Belichek endorses. Some people may not like that, but it is the way to win games at this point and that slot WR's and TE's are the key. Things cycle however. Food for thought.

So...anybody think Denton is the surprise we were looking for? And what got into Jeremy Murray?

He could be, but after one game, the Raiders have a larger group of talent at the WR position than many thought, me included. Did everyone notice that many of the formations did "not" include a TE, but rather
another WR! :)

Spreads for week three are up.  Go have at 'em!

Seriously think I should cut my losses and quit now, or get a new dart board
Dude, you're kicking ass compared to previous years.  Don't jinx it!
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

I would suggest everyone just keep watching, and I believe you will see more and more of Mr. Denton.   ;)

Liked Harry Paidas's line on the highlights: "Was that Pierre Garcon or Charles Denton?"

Maybe He will be the impact player that Mount has been fortunate to have for the past several years. I would like to see a little running to see how this OL responds. :)

And.......4.4 yards per rush on 34 attempts proved nothing?

4.4 tells me it's below average.   At least by MTU standards.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

HScoach,

Kmic, Moore and Pugh were no doubt higher, Maybe Murray will continue to improve! :)

I would think that the yards per carry is going to increase dramatically over the next two weeks.  I would re-examine the running game after the ONU game.
