1. Not gonna happen.

2. If it did, it would greatly depend on both the regional and national picture. If there was an abundance of undefeated Pool A and B bids and a lot of 1 loss Pool C candidates, it might be tough. Especially if there was a lot of quality in the North region that prevented them from getting their name tossed into the ring until late in the Pool C discussion.

3. And are they a 2 loss OAC team that is in sole possession of 2nd place or at least tied for 2nd? If they're in 3rd place, it would become even less likely as they'd probably have to give the OAC 2 Pool C bids, which is a very rare occurrence.

4. But, if anyones going to have a good shot at getting in with 2 losses, UWW and Mount are the 2 I'd bet on. Power programs from power conferences.

But, like I said, I would be stunned if Mount lost 2 games in the OAC. I'd be surprised if they lost 1. But after that, I'd expect a ridiculously focused LK and company to romp their way through the rest of the season just to ensure there was no way they got left out of the dance.

I don't think they're going to lose at all but if they lost two games in the OAC I still think they'd have a shot at making the playoffs.  With the committee having the ability to select a team based on previous championship  performance they'd be a solid selection and I'd have to think that come hell or high water the committee is going to find a way to have Mount Union in the playoffs.

It is an interesting question, BUT, the Raiders record in the OAC for the last 19 years is 169-2. It may be a more relevant question a few years from now. :)

Raider 68 - 169-2 in the last 19 years is a mind-blowing stat. What do you think their record will be in the next 19 years?  ;)

What is this of which you speak???  Mount losing TWO OAC games in the same year???   ???

If that happens, there is no reason to worry about whether they make the play-offs or not.  Everyone will be consumed with watching pigs fly, a frozen hell, and Emma17 proclaiming "see....I TOLD you they wouldn't be the same without a NFL-type receiver!"   ;D ;D ;D 8-)

Since I know ThunderMom's daughter, I occasionally get updates on the ThunderFamily. ThunderMom's son, who was playing for Wheaton at the time, recently graduated from divinity school.

And also I noticed that when that game was punched into PrestoSports a few years after the fact that Wheaton was declared the winner. I got an email from a reader about it a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't even sure how it got onto our site that way, since every score was just ported over from our old database.

They will be far better than the 19 years prior to the 19 we're talking about. Wow and I get accused of dumb topics

I'm not so sure...when was the last time a two-conference loss team got a pool C bid?

In 2008 UWW lost to UWSP, but if they would of lost the second time that season, I don't think they would have made it in.

So my guess would be: No

And that goes for any school, UMU, UWW, etc....

Hopefully, for this Wheaton fan, someday it will actually happen.  Hasn't really even been close yet though.........

Found out that the frosh will be playing JC again on Monday evening at 7 at MU stadium. The last meeting ended with MU ahead but called on account of the weather. I have to say that JC looked as good as I've seen them in a few years.
