At least we didn't play NCCCA Campellvile, division 4 football at best. Anyway, Murray 2 games 379 yards, 40 attempts, 9.5 yd average. Coppage 3 games 348 yards, 54 attempts, 6.4 yard average

For what it's worth, Campbellsville was ranked 17th in the NAIA coaches' poll. I know, with only 85 schools playing football in the NAIA as a whole, it isn't overly high, but it's not NCCAA.

Well we got a lot of All-American quality receivers. May be we could spare one.

We play those who will play us.
Coppage has been good enough to score the game clinching touchdown in the past two Stagg Bowls.  I'll take that.

The spreads are out on the OAC Pick-Em site.

I had three perfect players last week (Bobo, Chess4me, and Raider1).  Hopefully I'll give you more of a challenge this week.

Hmm, let me make sure I'm clear on your proposal.  Our Coppage for your Murray and one of your All American quality receivers?  No thanks.

Campbellsville usually has a good team.  I know personally from experience they are tough to beat at home (we played there in 1998).  Does that field still have the ridiculous crown on it??  I remember receivers being two feet lower than usual when throwing from the middle of the field down to the sidelines.  The crown works well with the option game they ran back in the 90s.  And the "student section" (more like a fraternity on the top of the hill of the North Endzone) were very excitable..

Wow! I don't read anything here for a couple of days and return to a boxing match. I have to agree with what RC said and he said it very well. With regards to the son and to his Dad...what are the son's goals for playing football at Mount and what is he willing to do to achieve those/that goal(s). Every kid that comes to Mount to play football should know what it will take just by looking at the history of the program. Since LK does not cut anyone he is basically giving all an opportunity, however small or large, to learn, improve and play. What that individual does with that opportunity is strictly up to him. Frankly I give a thumbs up, a tip of the hat and three cheers for every person that is associated with the program as they all make some type of sacrifice for the good of the team and University.

RC had mentioned something about this to me previously (maybe as we drove from Dayton to Ada two years ago)... but my distaste for him not-withstanding, I feel very badly for kids who have parents who act in that manner.  I know how much RC loves the game of football (and it was a big sport at his HS) so to me, his not playing his junior year speaks volumes for what he was dealing with.

I just shake my head at parents who push their kids to play and then push them out of the game.  Football is a great game.. and it teaches you so much about life.  I think kids who are on the teams at the d3 level are so much more prepared for life, you can't trade the experience they have --- especially if they have to fight and work hard to see the field.  That lesson will help them as grownups, in my not-so humble opinoin.

They replaced their natural turf field at the beginning of last year and installed field turf. The UWW game in '10 was the first game played on the new, fake grass. It is no longer a kingdom - the crown was removed!
