The Browns go against everything I ever learned from LK. Run the offense that the talent you have can run, don't decide to run a West Coast offense despite the fact you have no talent besides Cribbs that can run it

So many things wrong with the Browns one doesn't even know where to start. The "talent" on the field is pathetic. Aside from the WR they just drafted - they have no WRs. Somebody will have to explain how Robiskie is even on a roster, because I can not figure it out. I never bought into Peyton Hillis either. He would be great if you had something else to go with him - say maybe a deep threat - but when teams can load up for the run (and your line can't block) a guy like Hillis isn't worth much. I love to hear Brownies rave about Joe Hayden - look at the tape against the Colts - Pierre beat him like a drum. However, Collins followed his normal progression (Hmmmm Reggie, Dallas, dump off to RB, guy on bench, fan in third row, take the sack - oh Pierre was open if I only had 12 seconds more!). Then after all of that - you gotta look at the front office. I don't care who is the Coach - but when you have 3 head coaches in 5 years you will never win! The Browns have more head coaches since they came back into the league than the Steelers have had since 1969. Oh well - back to Mount! Go Raiders!!!

Yah....about that.  The Browns HAVE no offense, other than offending people with their putrid display of the "West Coast Offense".  (I am already beginning to hate that moniker.)

Anybody have a Nate sighting these days?

Saw Nate today in the dining commons--he eats lunch there pretty much every day.  When asked, he said that the Browns had not contacted him.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Well I know after the IFAF World Bowl (he was the MVP) he signed with the Lapeenranta Border Knights in Finland. Nate was supposed to fill out the last 3 games since their guy was injured. After the season he said he was going back to Mount for the start of season. I assume he is coaching. If your Finnish is better than mine maybe you can pass on any stats from Kmics games in Finland:     http://www.rajaritarit.com/page.php?id=8

Okay so I lied. I did manage to find this - and an interview attached to it. Not a bad debut for Nate.

Really?  Hmmm......I know he was not on the staff at the beginning of the season.  And it was not because he was overseas.  Interesting.....

Does anyone really think the Browns are capable of making a good decision? In shopping for a RB at this point in the season, one would think they would contact some key sources to see who is available and good. :-X

Ohio State games have a big impact on Mount attendance.  Which is why night games draw often draw much better.  And the playoff game up against OSU/Michigan is one of the worst attended.

I can only speak for when I was in school, but this was a big factor.  We didn't want to go watch them drum someone by 50 and miss all of the DI games on TV.  But when they played a big game everyone went.  I even remember (gasp) going on the road to Bedford for a JCU game.  One major difference to me is that the big games in the past were legit big games.  ONU w/ Franzer, Robertson, Vagedes was a real threat.  JCU w/ Arth and the Champ was a real threat.  I don't feel like they've had that since the Rocky Cap squads.

I know I should post the link to Easterhack's column - but oh well. Not only are Houston and Case Keenum NOT blasted on the "sportsmanship watch" they are praised in one of his stats of the week:
"Stats of the Week No. 8: Against Rice, Houston had a time of possession of just 21:25, and scored 73 points. The Cougars posted scoring drives of 2:28, 2:05, 1:34, 1:20, 1:20, 1:09, 1:02, 45 seconds, 35 seconds, 34 seconds and 14 seconds."

Later in the column in a section titled "Only Nine Touchdown Passes in One Game, That's All?" Keenum and Houston are praised for their efficiency and speed. How is it Mr. Easterbrook that Mount Union is regularly accused of playing poor competition and being unsportsman like in giving a beating - yet no Mount QB ever threw 9td passed in a game? Not only is Houston getting a free pass but it is totally ignored that they were still throwing TDs in the 3rd and 4th QTR with the starters still in the game. Mount Union would never do that.

From a previous post: no one needs to explain how Brian Robiskie is on an NFL roster - he has been waived and is therefore no longer on a roster. 3 years 39 receptions, 434 yards, 3 tds. Pathetic! Even worse he had 3 receptions for 25 yards THIS YEAR!
