Dentonation!

I heard you suck all the air out of the stadium when AJ didn't get after a reception

Did you mean "in" or "up" after a reception?  ;)

Now that you've blown my thinly veiled cover, I'll have even less credibility as I wax nobly about the virtues of the set up role.

But at least now I can note, with all due respect to Jeff and his good article, that while Denton is a PHENOM, it was old man 81 who lumbered down for the 55 yard reception credited to Chris in the Alliance Review piece.

I'm working second shift today, but shouldn't YOU be in church?

Anybody watching (or listening in my case) to the game yesterday who thinks LK won't go back to the two-QB system is kidding themselves.  Don't get me wrong, Pilotto made throws on the last drive to win the game.  However, in the first half he was less than stellar, and it really reminded me of the Stagg Bowl last year.  He REALLY doesn't like any pressure (who does?)!
I think for this year, the best chance for Mount is to use the "two-headed monster", and maybe go with the hot hand within any play-off game.

LK is extremely high on Denton, and has attempted to keep him under the radar, and work him in slowly.  With a healthy Jr. back in the lineup, and the "old man"  ;) Claycomb and Denton out there as well, Mount's receiving corp is as good as it gets.

I have become more of a Murray fan as the season has progressed. He runs harder, and more dynamic then he did even at the beginning of this year.

Thanks for the non-call zebras.  I know I would have been crazy with anger if I was a B-W fan.  It's about time we got one, because in the play-offs when we get the numbnut crews from the NCAC, we NEVER get a call.   8-)

Those with audio, update the time as frequently as possible.  Live Stats clock isn't updating for me!

Messages like this make me think you should have twitter. :)

Touché, Coleman.  And I rarely log in to Twitter, but just found out I'm following d3Hoops, but not d3Football.  That's been remedied.

Can't add much that hasn't been said.  Denton really impressed, and Claycomb had a great game, especially after they taped his arm back on.

From a fan's prospective you couldn't ask for a better game.  Hats off to BW.  I thought they were for real coming in and they certainly proved it.  It would be great to have two or three close fought battles like this every season.

I thought Pilato played a good game.  I give credit for his mistakes to a great defensive effort by BW, more so than any weakness on his part (with the exception of his running; when he scrambles he kind of reminds me of a running stork).

I hope BW can get into the playoffs at 8-2.  They deserve a chance.  I just hope they don't blow it against John Carroll.  That's one of those "throw out the records" games.

Muskingum next.  Go Raiders!

But Piloto has the touch on the ball when counts. If any of the upcoming opponents do not put heavy pressure, then he along with the Raider's WR's will burn them! The Raider running game is stronger vs. this time last year, so we'll see the rest of the way! :)

HSCoach said on the broadcast that B-W was stronger than many of the playoff opponents Mount will face.
I hope so!

Congrats to BW. They gave Mount everything they had and were solid for 4 quarters. I sure hope they get a chance to go to the playoffs as I agree with HS Coach, they are much better than many playoffs teams the Raiders have faced.

I was at the game and really could not tell if there was PI on the last BW play. I had a chance to watch the STO replay and it is very close. The call certainly could have gone the other way. It was just that close.

When I left the game I felt Piloto may have under played but after reviewing the game, I think he did a pretty nice job. BW was without question the best "D" Mount has faced and they do a great job of getting pressure. Matt's numbers were actually fairly decent, he played w/o Collins and he rose to the occasion when it mattered most. I can't ask for more than that.

Profs to Murray as well, as he continues to impress me with his hardnosed running.

The only negative was the personal foul penalties. I understand the excitement and emotions of the game but it's far too costly for your team to let your emotions get the better of you.

Lastly, I for one haves seen enough of the rugby style punt. More than once this year that extra delay in getting the punt off has cost us.

Can anyone recall the last time an opponent ran back a kick for a touchdown? I can't.   ???

B38W  your kid is a stud and one of the best on the field yesterday. I hope he is able to go next week.
I also think BW earned strong playoff consideration if they finish with a W next week. I cannot imagine any other team with two losses that could be as strong.  It is indeed a shame about the non call at the end. My first impression is that the zebras missed interference, and it is a shame that the BW fans left with that foul taste...even the attractive redhead who was flipping a double bird at the officials...haha
anyway, we will need Jasper in the playoffs and the defense will most surely learn from the game yesterday.  The BW O line was blowing them off the ball on the touchdown drive...

Well the game was what it was - a great game. The final 3 minutes were gut wrenching and left a few questions. Some on here have wondered why BW was throwing on 4th and 1, others why BW left TOs on the table. My question is why BW went back to O'Rourke? Dziak seemed to give Mount fits. If BW has Dziak on 4th and 1.....who knows. I did not like the ending (aside from Mount winning). BW, players - not fans (you can't control fans), have to have more class than that. Was it a pass interference? Man I just don't know. I watched the highlight 8 times (not 7 - but 8!) and can see how it could have gone either way. I will defer to Ric - he is about as "Mount" as you can be - if he thought it was a non-call on pass interference then I say it was. Regardless, BW showed no class from the sidelines. Anyone who has ever played the game has been, of felt they were, jobbed. Once the call is made, or not made, it is done. Throwing stuff on the field, or yelling at officials, or other players won't change it - but it will make you look like a complete ass and cost your team with a penalty and a loss of respect. I hope BW gets into the playoffs - they deserve it.

I still say that Mount won it all in 2005 not because they beat UWW but because they lost to ONU. It focused them. Maybe this will have the same result. Mount was 1 play away from a loss - 4th and 11 - and got a TD (great catch by the way). Mount was punched in the mouth and fought back - that never hurts come playoff time. Great game.

In other news: UWWs Levell Coppage trails Nate "The Great" Kmic by about 1000 yards. Does he catch him and become the all time leading rusher? Man I hope not - somebody out there has to hold this kid under 100 yards for a game or 2.

I suppose the other option is that somebody actually knocks UW-W out of the playoffs early.  But I appreciate you not bringing THAT one up!  ;)

Wouldn't it be something if the Purple Powers met again in Salem, with Coppage about 150 yards behind Nate the Great (he has averaged 150.3 ypg in his previous 3 Staggs)?! ;D

Thanks everyone for the really kind words. I have the utmost repect for your program and all that you have accomplished.

hey guys first time posting here

but could you make the argument however that the BW players were justified in their anger....i mean think of the situation your playing the seemingly "unbeatable" mount union on their home field with the OAC championship on the line...and to feel as if the refs decided the game and not the players that would leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth...these kids at the other OAC schools look forward to ONE game the most and that is Mount.. i mean 20 straight OAC titles only losing two OAC games since what 1995 i mean yea it looks bad but given the situation you cant really blame them.....as for the call however i was there to me it was pretty blatant... i have myself seen the STO replay and i still have the same opinion with those with those with the argument that ur not sure if it would have been caught anyway you cant make that claim if there is no chance at all the ball was in the area i could see the claim if he had to jump to catch it or move one way or the other but he was in one place the whole time i think you gotta throw that flag there
