Are we looking at this right --- Wabash is the #1 seed and UMU the #2 seed?  WTH?
Hope not ... MUC was #1 and Wabash #2 in the last NCAA regional rankings.

BW was #8 North ... Fisher was #9 East, behind Endicott!

For whatever reason, there was obviously some re-arranging in the final, final (unseen) regional rankings - IWU was behind Case in the last (seen) RR, but IWU is in, Case is out.

It sure seems to look like Wabash is the #1 seed and UMU is #2.

Look at the bracket positions of UWW, STU, UMHB and Linfield - can we agree they are all #1's or #2's?  Now look where Wabash and UMU are. Wabash is the #1 I'm pretty sure.

I think they just have that bracket flipped......  unless they have NC as #4.......   Mount definitely has the easier second round draw.  i think Mount is the #1

Yah well....if that's the case then it's a bigger piece of crap then UWW being seeded #2 last year.  Regional rankings always had Mount ahead of Wabash, and neither played a world-beater in their last game, so I really don't see how they could have leapfrogged Mount.

I guess we will see when the seedings come out.

Then Del Val is #1 and St. Thomas is a #2 on the other side? I don't believe that.
NCC would be #3 and Centre #4.

MU is a #1.  Wabash and NC are the 2-3 (future/intended) match-up.  Relax, everybody.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Then Del Val is #1 over St. Thomas #2 - that would be a shocker.

I hear you BoBo.  That would make absolutely NO sense.  Maybe there is no rhyme of reason how they put the "seeded" teams within their sub-bracket?  Who knows????

BoBo

There's usually a rhyme and reason where a team is placed in a bracket...and it nornally follows a pattern (that is in any bracket I've seen/made). With that said, the committee has certainly been creative this year, so maybe they decided to create a new style in bracket formation, as well.

So an 8-2 St. John Fisher gets in??????  SERIOUSLY????  What a frickin' joke!

How in the world do you make the argument for them vs. B-W, vs. Wheaton, vs. just about anyone????

They do this every year.  There is always one head scratcher.

Also weird how they have the brackets set up this year.  Looks like the NCC folks will get to find out if they are better than Mount, as they keep suggesting (especially concerning last year).

WOW!

I'm confused by SJF as well.  Their best win is Alfred (7-3).  They lost to the two good teams they played (Salisbury, Hobart) by 3+ TD's.  They don't play in the WIAC.  That certainly doesn't look like the resume of an 8-2 at-large.

wesleydad

hey skunks, some #$#%# hey.  i really like it, shakes things up.  i over looked the del val being a 1 on that side, but all the others make sense uww 1  salisbury 2, umhb 1 wesley 2, mount 1 wabash 2, would make del val 1 and st thomas 2.  well if that is the only out of wack one then so be it.  if not the other 3 dont make any sense.  mount has little to worry about until the quarters.

This is not a new style. Top seeds host the games in the corners of a bracket. Not unusual at all.

Wow!!  If Mount is a #2 someone needs to call Pat Sajak and have him spin the wheel.  He could have done a better job. Hope that isn't true.

Schwami

The brackets don't show seeding, but it is pretty clear that UMU is the #1 and Wabash is the #2.  What is not clear at this point is where the semifinals will be played if the #1 seeds win out.
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

In another thread, Pat is indicating that with the lack of seeds published this year, that in fact Mount is probably a #1 seed.

This is one crazy tourney bracket this year.  Nice!
