So what happened to north central??? Last I heard they were winning 28-7. So when I left the stadium I was thinking Mount was finally going to face this team that was suppose to be the "next powerhouse" but when I got home I heard they lost 29-28 :o Wabash will still be a very tough opponent for the purple raiders!!!

Even though the path to the stagg bowl is a lot tougher this year, I love that mount is being challenged by a good team in round 2, while whitewater is playing "mounts playoff schedule" Maybe that'll help mount more if/when mount meets whitewater in the stagg bowl AGAIN!!!!!

They will and it might.  ;)

Making my Karma round and congrats to LK and Mount Union.  Play better.  I don't to learn all new people down in Salem!!  I like the people you'all bring.  It just wouldn't be the same!!! :) :)

HScoach you're right on the money...if I remember correctly there was about 3 minutes left in the 3rd and we had stopped Centre and we're up 23-10 and we run the ball 3 times and then punt. If ever there was a time to go for the throat that was it.

Whoever #30 is, he no longer has a head as LK chewed it off.

I loved the comment from the WRMU announcers, "There goes the visor, never a good thing if you make Coach Kehres rip his hat off"

Interesting note to those of you who may have forgotten, Erik Raeburn Wabash head coach just happens to be LK's nephew.   Alliance Review reports LK not happy with his offense.  Very inconsistent.  After watching the tv replay, there were too many dropped passes esp. by Collins.  However, this was his first game back from an injury.  I do believe the O will perform much better against Wabash.  The bullseye wears heavy this time of year.

Looks like wabash again next week.   Mt. needs to step it up a notch.   Poor officials today   ncac crew  what a joke although Mt. didn't get all the bad calls today.  Centre D better than advertised.    Coach Frye had em ready.  Closer game than score indicated.  But a win is a win.  Ncaa gave Mt. a harder path this year.  Sure wish Neal was back.  Any chance?   Bring on the carnival barkers and their red and white stripped bib overalls.

I don't know if that would be a good thing. The Offense, while struggling at times, seems more balanced with Piloto. I kept wondering where Burke was yesterday. Thought he would make an appearance or 2 early to change things up a bit. I have confidence that Mount will do what must be done to win this week (because I refuse to hear the Wabash faithful shouting "wabash always fights" all around alliance. In other news: Levell Coppage has moved into the No. 2 spot behind Nate Kmic. Attention UWW Bracket: Wrap and Tackle. Key on Coppage. You will probably lose to UWW anyway - so help us out a bit and keep Coppage under 100!

Coppage is 683 yards behind Kmic with three possible games to go.  Would be interesting if Mount meets UWW in the Stagg and if Coppage averages over 200 ypg the next two weeks.

I think Burke ran one play (an option) in the first half.
12-0 = 13

Burke was in for 3-4 plays but he never ran just handed off or ran the option.

Some notes of interest.....

Murray was already banged up, and came up limping early in the game.  That is why he didn't play any more.  Collins' knee is not good, and that is why he was used more as a third down type receiver only.  He made one AMAZING catch for the TD.  That is "play of the week" worthy, but doubt it would come close to the 2-point conversion play Wabash had.

I wish they would have kept Simon at TB, with Ryder at FB on the third and shorts.  Those two have a nice "jumbo" look.

Neal brings more balance to the offense.  Piloto is doing a good job but neal offers a run Qb that can pass with accuracy on the crossing routes and short sideline passes.  Opponents have to prepare for two types of QB.  LK has been doing this switch all season  until Seamen was injured.  It really limits your offense if the QB can't or is limited from running.  It would be nice to have him back.

I do not think we will have him back this year.  That is not definite, but it doesn't look good.

Being in charge of our annual "little internet fans" get together, and having had intense discussions regarding time and place for this year's event (ok..maybe one email back and forth  ;D), I think we will get together this Friday night before the Wabash/Mount game.

Either post on here, or send me an email if you think you can make it, and where you would like for us to get together.  I think the last three places we have met are now all gone!  :o  I am kicking around a Belden Village area location, but I am open to any and all suggestions.

The Wabash contingent will be invited, and I think they will travel very well to this game.  This could be one of our best get togethers yet.

Even if Seaman makes it back for the Stagg Bowl hes gonna be a little rusty. Its Pilotos job to lose now. Skilliter did a nice job in relief of Murray. I wonder what kind of stats Jeremy would have had rushing if he played the whole game? Jeremy hides behind his blockers a little better IMHO, but Skilliter is pretty fast if he gets outside on you. What happens if Piloto gets dinged up? Do we go to the wishbone offense to accentuate Burkes skills? Would LK even let him throw the ball? This is going to be real interesting for the Oline coaches. There are a lot of possibilities to prepare for. Are we gonna see 2 tight ends for max protection and take wideouts off the field? If im preparing the opposition Dline against MUC, Im forcing the issue and bring the heat. Are the punts going as planned? Have the coaches decided against testing the oppositions return teams? Is it all just playing the wind....and the odds? HMMMM.

Cecil just caught his first NFL pass (25 yards).

Was nice to see Junior back on the field, but it was obvious he isn't healthy.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!
