Being in charge of our annual "little internet fans" get together, and having had intense discussions regarding time and place for this year's event (ok..maybe one email back and forth  ;D), I think we will get together this Friday night before the Wabash/Mount game.

Either post on here, or send me an email if you think you can make it, and where you would like for us to get together.  I think the last three places we have met are now all gone!  :o  I am kicking around a Belden Village area location, but I am open to any and all suggestions.

The Wabash contingent will be invited, and I think they will travel very well to this game.  This could be one of our best get togethers yet.

Not sure where to go either, but the Belden area might be a little busier than normal with the HS title games in town this weekend.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Mtfan has a couple of places of interest. He will post them later after he gets back from Boston

Did Shorts get cut from the Jags? What did I miss?

Thanks rscl70! When I looked at his stats for the last few games there was nothing...no kick return or punt return stats.

Coppage is 683 yards behind Kmic with three possible games to go.  Would be interesting if Mount meets UWW in the Stagg and if Coppage averages over 200 ypg the next two weeks.

FWIW, UW-W is making no concerted effort to get him the record.  He didn't play the last 18 minutes of game time Saturday and didn't play the last 25 minutes a week ago.  On the other hand, UW-W will definitely ride him as far as he will take them until the game is wrapped. Salisbury gave up over 6 ypc to KEAN, who averaged 4.0 ypc, so who knows?? If Saturday is a blow out, Nate is probably safe. If UW-W has problems with the triple option and it turns into a shootout, things could get interesting.

Thanks for the pic, rscl70 (+k).  Nice to get that monkey off his back.

I'm sure Nate could have had 1,000s of more yards also if he would have played a full 60 minutes throughout his career.  I'm sure Liepold uses Coppage wisely about this time of year.  Makes sure he gets his carries/yards to keep him in playoff shape, but pulls him when the game is no longer in question to keep him healthy.  Also allows others to get valuable PT, and allows for other aspects of the offense to work out any kinks and such.

I would ride Coppage, or Nate for that matter, as long as they could carry my team if they played for me.  :)

Agreed on all counts!  ;)

I think Piloto is getting better each week. He reminds me of Kurt Rocco. What he will do when he is pressured remains to be seen. He had excellent protection against Centre, who looked undersized to me. I don't think the Centre guys are as big as they were listed in the program,on offense or defense. As I stood by their gate when they left after pre-game warmups and compared their size with the listed weights,I thought "no way." Neal is at this point 24-0 as a starter. Sure wish we had him for the Championship but Piloto can take us all the way. I am glad our guys have had to play hard into the fourth quarter, which should help us when we play the big cheese eaters from Dairyland.

Let's see about Wabash first.
12-0 = 13

Raider 68

While I believe the upcoming game against a really good Wabash team will be a good game, I also believe the Raider offense will be sharper than we have seen in the past few weeks. The power running game and a better game by the WR's will shoe up. The defense will be tested, but they will respond. Hopefully, there will be a good crowd and there should be with two 12-0 teams! :)

purpled,

Cecil was out with a pulled hamstring. IMHO, he would have seen much more action if not injured, since
the Jags think he is part of their future WRs! :)

Kmic's record isn't the only Mount Union record in jeopardy.  So is 55.
