Question for the OAC faithful:

In all honesty, in relationship to all the other conferences in the nation, how does the OAC stack up competition wise. Is it at the top of the heap? Middle? Lower?

It is generally considered to be the #2 conference from top to bottom, the WIAC being the strongest.  Some other conferences such as the CCIW might have an argument about that.

BW-3's in Alliance went out of business apparently, is there another Wing place in the same location?

No wing specialty place in Alliance any more, although there is a place called the Blue Fig that does pretty well with their's.

Was it the lack of talent on Friday nights in December that did in Wing Warehouse???

Lack of talent, lack of hygeine, lack of following the state liquor laws.....that's just my guess.   8-)

SF - you going to make it up for this one?

University of Mount Union bought the property that housed the Wing Warehouse and they did not open elsewhere.  I think they are building more residence halls.
The residence halls a built and in use.  Townhouse style for upper classmen. (or is that classpersons?)

I can tell we are all getting old.  Wing Warehouse moved out to the old Dawson's Restaurant building (now THAT is dating myself), but never really made it out there.

As much as I would like to go to the Tilted Kilt (early reviews have been VERY good)  :P , I am thinking if we hit the BV area that Rooster's might be a possible spot.  I have only been there a few times, but it seems to be pretty good, and would be just far enough away from the mall to avoid some of the shopping/state championship traffic.

Good idea, plus the guys from Indiana would probably prefer Roosters to Tilted Kilt anyways

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

I'm scheduled for work on Saturday morning --- talking to the boss about moving it/switching.  Trying to get out of it.. would love to see MOUNT and Wabash, especially with the Wabash QB.  If not, then I'll be up next weekend, I think?

wabash fans, i will vouch for the hospitality of the mount fans.  I have been there on several occasions and from meeting them on friday evening for wings, sad to hear that the wing joint is OOB or driving 6 hours in the morning to meet for a great mexican breakfast with frozen margaritas before the game, they are great people and very knowledgable.  They have a right to be brag, when yu win that often you get that right, but they do it in a way that is not belittling unlike some posters from another program.  I have also spent time with several of them at the stagg bowl and they put together a pretty good spread for breakfast, still remember the biscuits and gravy from a few years ago.  Enjoy the trip and good luck this weekend.
LOL, was a great time having breakfast at the Stagg then, but glad they went back to an evening prime time schedule for tailgating purposes.

drop me a PM on friday night plans if you have something in the Canton area or let me know if you wanna plan somewhere else.

I was there the weekend of the Mexican Breakfast --- it was so cold that the SF-mobile had trouble getting back to Cincy.  Was very sorry I missed breakfast, but had to prep for the broadcast.

Raider66 would have been geared up for this week only because Erik's wife Liz was his all time favorite cheerleader at Mount. Last time we saw her was when we started the season at Whitewater years ago.

That's where we have traditionally ranked the OAC as well.

No video feed from Mount Union?  Did I miss that in the game notes?

Nope, Sportstime Ohio does a quality tape delay broadcast with Joe Tait, the former voice of the Cleve. Cavaliers.

Nice to have a North region opponent in the QF's for a change

Looking forward to the trip to Alliance on Saturday.  Coming over with an old friend who is a Mount Union guy (he did not attend Mount Union, but his father was the head basketball coach back in the peach basket days, and later the AD) and some of his relatives who are season ticket holders.

Is general public parking available at the North end of the stadium in the lot next to the Hoover-Price Campus Center?

What's the word on Doug's '57 Diner?  Worth the stop?

Schwami,

Yes, there is additional parking on Hartshorn, just west of the stadium, if you get there early enough.
Doug's is still there, but would suggest the College Inn, corner of State and Parkway. In all cases the earlier the better!

Got a free pass from Madeline for Saturday. Actually she works till 2:30. Praying that I can ignore the silliness of the Sphinx Club this trip. They make our stupid Parrot look like a PhD candidate. We got what we were hoping for so lets hope LK can still out coach his nephew.
