Though frankly, for most games, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion even if you don't know the result before the replay for Mt. Union.

And Mt. fans, don't go all Lou Holtz on me..."You know that Marietta is a scrappy bunch of fine football players and...."

(No offense to Marietta since I know they'd be about mid-pack NCAC...)

Wilmington by 3 scores. Unfortunately.

Strangely, and I'm dating myself here, but Wilington was pretty good for the season or two they were in the HCAC with Wabash before both schools moved on to new leagues. That's been a long time ago now, but dang has Wilmington gone off the cliff.

Last ten seasons:

Terriers: 7-93 with three of those wins coming in 2008.
Quakers: 20-80.

I don't know if it'd be much of a contest, but why not match up an NCAC vs. OAC challenge.

Wabash - Mt. Union
Wittenberg - Capital
Wooster - Ohio Northern
DePauw - Baldwin / Wallace
Allegheny - JCU
Ohio Wesleyan - Heidelberg
Denison - Muskingum
Oberlin - Otterbein
Kenyon - Marietta
Hiram - Wilmington

Obviously not based on current seasons, but just some proximity and matchups or whatever or remembering teams and putting them in random order or so.

That's not dating yourself. Dating yourself is when the conference formed as the ICAC - and the griping that went on when Taylor reneged on joining D-3 and bolted the conference because they didn't want to lose their basketball scholarships.

I don't care, I'm going to the game, and later will enjoy a network quality replay on Sports Time Ohio. Gladly send off a copy to anyone, but we'll see Sunday if there is any interest. I will not question the Athletic Director.

If you want to do research: How many DIII football programs are on broadcast TV and how many have a Hall of Fame Announcer?Remembering that we are Co-ed, at least 60% of the alumni could care less about football.

Larry and I learned at the feet of Jack Rafield, the cheapest SOB to ever be an athletic director. If it doesn't directly benefit the kids on the field, it's a waste of time and money.

70's, Interest in a copy of Saturday's game.  I will send you a message.

(I guess I'm one of a small number of alumni outliers living on the West Coast.  I didn't get the message we were supposed to spend our lives within Ohio's borders.)

We would love the NCAC-OAC challenge, however, the purple raiders respectfully request Wooster....they have been dodging us for years after a past history of a very good rivalry

Seriously??   :o >:(  You are actually stating that women, as a entire gender, do not care about football?   As one of the rare female posters on the boards, I feel compelled to challenge this notion.  While rarely is a female obsessed with the sport to the degree I am, I do know many, many women who are HUGE football fans so I humbly suggest you put away that very broad brush you are painting with.  For just one example, I have been in an all-girls fantasy football league called the, "No Boys Allowed," league for years.  We female football fans maybe much smaller in numbers but we are mighty in spirit.  ;) I'd be willing to bet that there are a lot more female football fans among your UMU alumni than you think, especially with the amazing success the program has had all these years.

Can you please talk to my girlfriend?  She's definitely not a fan of going to football games (its too hot in September, she's too busy in October <apparently> and its too cold in November and December).  She lasted a half at the Bridge Bowl this year (MSJ and TMC) before she left to go shopping --- picking my drunk arse up after the game was over (we were able to sneak in beers because we watched from a hillside).

Help please

ALSO -- please stream the Friday night shenanigans.  I want to see hscoach buy his round for you all, check in on skunks, skunkssidekick, mtfan and hurf to see how many wings they house AND how much bird-doggin' the talent is going on between all 5 of the miscreants mentioned in this paragraph.

Wish I could, SF, but with all those excuses, she sounds like she is one of the female majority who don't enjoy watching it.  I didn't say we, female fans, were easy to find, just that we do actually exist in greater numbers than many think.  There maybe hope, though, that she can become one some day if the sport becomes personalized for her.  I really became a fan back in 1985 when I moved to the Chicago area the summer before the Bears won the Super Bowl!!!!  Then when my sons started to play it, my obsession took off. On the bright side, you'll always have a designated driver with her around.   ;)

One point about the video stream.  The four years my son started for UWW, my mother and father, who were in their late 70's at the time, and live in South Dakota were only able to see him play, in person, a few times.  But every Saturday they would sit by the computer and listen and watch, (when video was available which was all the home games,) like clockwork.  It was a very special time for my father and the next day he would call his grandson and they would rehash every play and minute of the game. Forget the alumni.  There are much better reasons to broaden the access to this wonderful world of D3 football as much as possible, IMHO.   8-)

I think not having a video stream is a negative. I know for a fact many recruits watch the video streams of schools they are considering. Having a live stream for the playoffs is essential to success going forward. I think if Mt Union had it, they would agree. Obviously they have an argument that it hasn't hindered their success. But the cost benefit of providing far outweighs any negative. It's a smart business idea if nothing else (and there are far more reasons to provide it than to not provide it in my opinion).
