Can't work.  The ref is supposed to be impartial.

Obviously, you aren't working for the NCAC!

We would love the NCAC-OAC challenge, however, the purple raiders respectfully request Wooster....they have been dodging us for years after a past history of a very good rivalry

Was curious about competion between MTU and Woo in other sports.

In the past decade:

2 games in baseball- 2005 Wooster 31-5 (thirty-one to five) and 2001 Wooster 5-2.

4 games in basketball (most as result of OAC-NCAC Challenge)- 2006 Wooster 85-60, 2004 Wooster 79-69, 2003 Wooster 71-56, and 2002 Wooster 93-66.

Not much of a rivalry lately.

THEN SCHEDULE UMU!   MOO v WOO!

Wooster coach won't schedule Mt.  He has given many reasons why  (His talks before the HOF luncheon club). He believes he can not compete with Mt. and that he will get soundly trounced.  He feels that nothing positive can come from such a loss.  I for one have a hard time understanding this thinking.  Playing better teams makes your team more competitive.  I wonder how many OAC teams would skip the Mt. game if given the choice to do so?  Is his thinking and reasoning main stream?  Or is he afraid that his coaching talents ( or lack of) would be undermined by such a loss?

Franklin's coach takes the opposite tack. Play the best to be the best. Who's had the best of it recently?

(Though with only one discretionary non-conference game with the UAA agreeement, and then with the NCAC going to round-robin in 2013, Wooster may have more built in excuses...)
Wabash Always Fights!

The Wabash faithful were out in full force tonight at Rey's.  If that's any indication of how many are coming tomorrow, they will represent their school & team well.

Nice meeting all the Wabash folks, and good luck tomorrow.

Personally.....I am still in recovery mode from eating one of the "voodoo" wings.  THANKS RAIDERGUY!   >:(

Should be interesting game for Mount with a very good chance they will be able to return to being able to use the full playbook again which should be great timing for playoff run.

Clear sky above Mount Union Stadium this morning. Looks like great weather for the game. Hammer and the Purple Suits have raised the Jolly Roger, lit their fires and are in the process of lighting themselves up.

3 games in 12 months with UWW and a home and away with Mount next two seasons.  FC certainly can lay claim to having played the best most often. I think it has been a good thing.  It appeared to help against Thomas More in first round.  FC has learned what playing as hard as they can is all about.

TOUCHDOWN!!!

How in the heck did we let Mount off their goal line?
Why should you go for it on 4th down?
