wesleydad

so that i dont forget when i decide to take on some of this trash, thanks to mtfan and all the other mount folk that entertained us tonight at Rey's.  the wings are great, including the voodoo, I didnt have as many as theprof, he must have an iron gut, but I had a few and they were good.

first, bashdad, get over the fact that wabash lost.  they were lucky to beat ncc so enjoy that fact and move on.  your constant trashing of Wesley and there chances is almost laughable.

stats are just that, something to look at on paper, they do not tell nor define a game.  if that were the case I would be in Alliance watching Linfield or UMHB play Mount, but I am not.  Tomorrow Wesley will suit up to play in their 5th semi in the last 7 years.  Other than Mount and UWW can anyone else even come close to saying that, NO!!!!!!!  Does Wesley's defense have some holes, YES.  Is the offense possibly too one dimensional, relying on McSweeney to make things happen, YES!!!  Did the previous playoff teams know these things, YES.  What have the results been, Wesley is in the semis again, not Wabash or any other team.  Do I think Wesley can win this game, YES!!!  Will it be tough, YES.  Is Mount the favorite, YES.  So what is new, nothing.  Wesley has a chance to beat Mount, just like many other teams in the last whatever number of years and with the exception of UWW, all have failed.  Wesley does not need to apologize for how they got here or for what may happen in the game.  Go out and play your best and see what happens.  How many other teams would love to be in your position? 200+ as far as I know.  In the end, only 1 team wins the last game and as of tomorrow, Wesley is 1 of only 4 who still have that chance.  Keep trashing their chances while you sit at home and watch.  Maybe next year you will be in the semis.

I guess what Im saying is: Wesley has found ways to win. Thats the bottom line. Whether they can do it or not Saturday will be seen. You can't read too much into stats at this point and automatically say Wesley will get their heads handed to them. We are down to the 4 best teams in D3, stats are useful yes. But they dont tell the whole story at all. These teams have gone through the regular season and postseason tests and passed all of them. That doesnt just happen. They know how to win games better than anyone else in Division III. This will clearly be Wesley's toughest opponent, and IMO, it will be Mount's too.

Also, I agree with DE Wesley Fan, Mount must be respected. Not feared. Wesley had a little fear in 2009.

Little Red Riding Hood is a French fairy tale about a young girl and a Big Bad Wolf. The story has been changed considerably in its history and subject to numerous modern adaptations and readings. Here is the turE version. In 2011, the Wesley Wolves rode into Alliance Ohio in search of three pigs, lets call them Pat, Keith and Ryan.  The three little pigs were afraid of the Wolves and believed everyone else so believe the same.  Everyone gathered at  Raider Stadium to witness the gathering when the wise General  (LK) came out to rise-up against another pretender. As LK began to dismantle the wolves, the General was heard claiming THIS IS RAIDERNATION – WE TAKE NO PRISIONERS !!!   Raider PRIDE.  8-) 8-) 8-)

raiderguy, Thats one play I never want to see again. That gave me nightmares for weeks lol  :D

That actually would have been a TD if the ball would have been thrown better.

I don't know about everybody else but I want to nominate this post for the Mr. Obvious award for 2011! ;D

Considering BashDad did play the game (and at a high level), I think his opinion bears consideration.  And quite honestly, almost EVERYONE on this board said NCC was ready to replace one of the purple powers.  Funny thing about that.......Wabash beat the alleged heir apparent, so does that mean WABASH is ready to crack the top tier with UWW/UMU?

As I said at the beginning of the week, until Wesley actually beats UWW or UMU, they are just one of the also-rans.  They have had multiple chances and could not get it done.  Now THAT is fact.

I think Wesley's defense is average, and their offense is way too one-dimensional.  Now they could change that tomorrow and play a great game to beat Mount.  I just don't think it's likely.

Raiderguy.....WesleyDad.......anyone else......10 AM for margs & mex.  See you there!   ;)

I love the smell of margarita's in the morning! ;D

looks like Toledo's coach is heading to the University of Illinois to replace Zook.

Good, that means they won't be getting BADGER offensive coordinator Paul Chryst.  Now if Kansas will just find someone else.

sounds as though some dude named Weis is taking the Kansas job  :o

and since their colors are blue, he'll still be able to look like a giant blueberry on the sideline.

While I can appreciate the literary reference, your Little Red Ridinghood story took a detour through The Three Little Pigs.  May our season contine on to have a fairy tale ending next week after we slay a giant today.

I feel that this is the year for Wesley to go all the way. The Linfield game showed a lot, they did not fold in the 4th against UMHB, and MU appears to be beatable this year. This is in no way a knock on MU just in case someone wants to take a few shots. I'm not a fan of either team and as a Montclair fan, had the honor ::) of watching games against both you guys. Hope it's a great game and no injuries.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.
