Raiders 45-28. It's Mount Union's offense that carries the day.
This reminds me of tailgating in the parking lot before the game in 07 when a Mount guy came up to me, out of the blue, and said," I figure we're going to beat you by 35 points today."  I said, "What makes you think that?  You haven't beat us by 35 yet?"  He said, "because this is the best team Larry's ever had."    :D ;D
Seriously, 45?  In six games, neither team has ever broke the 40 mark!  Doubt it will happen today. Both DEFENSES are just too good.
You all are so right about the LK factor and his unknown strategy!  That part of the equation scares the crap out of me.  But more than a few teams have thrown a wrinkle or two at us, last week we saw some kind of a, "reverse, reverse, flea flicker,"  by the Tommies but the defense didn't bite.  But a team of Mount's quality will have the horses to pull off some interesting stuff, I imagine. I expect the game to be close until the end with halftime adjustments and coaching weighing heavily in the outcome.
Hope the game is a great, injury free battle and safe travels to all!

Sun's trying to come up, and we're on our way down to Salem. After my last post I decided to stay off the boards because my little internet friends were so gloomy.   Talk about bad karma!   The husband alerted me to Ric' s post, which  turned the attitudinal  tide on here. Thanks, Ric! +K to the big dreamers. +k to Wesleydad for pep talks, +k for Bleed People who is cordial on our site even when I mess with his name.  ;) + k to the two teams who have earned their place in the national championship. That's a proud accomplishment. Hope each player savors every moment.

Go Raiders! Find a way! As MLK preached: "Make a way out of no way" ... (although, as I recall, he wasn't preaching football at the time... :) )

Made a pit stop in Cambridge and some more fans came into McD's while we were in line. Their car flag inspired us to dig ours out. What fun!

Went to the members section of the website, searched for "seven" and his profile is not listed in the search results.

Either he deleted his account, or was kicked off by those in charge.

11 in 11!

His account is still active on here. Hope all is well.

GO RAIDERS

I think 70's might be taking a "self-grounding".

NO D3 BOARD UNTIL YOU SHAPE UP!   8-)

Safe journeys, tailgating, and fandom to all!

Anyone staying in town want to stop by the hacienda for some libations, and to watch the game, drop me a PM.

Wish I was driving to Salem right now.  Instead am going to Father-Daughter dance with my Daughter tonight from 6-8.  Damn you NCAA for changing the game to Friday Night!

Will be DVRing the game.  That way I can get home, start from the beginning, FF through the commercials and watch a Raider Victory!

11 in 11!

+karma for having your priorities straight.  There are plenty of fathers that would not make that choice even though it should be an obvious one.  You're awesome!   :-*

Kehresma,

Safe travels. The NCAA, IMHO, should re-examine who makes the call on having a Championship on Friday night far from the teams supporters. That said, at least they will broadcast it!

Bring home a winner! Go RAIDERS!

At first blush, I thought "You're right - what a ridiculous idea!"

Then, I thought some more...and while you're right that neither team has ever broken 40, the winner has been over 30 in every meeting.  This does not detract from the outstanding defenses on both sides; however, history does show that the Purples have been able to score on one another.  40 points is unlikely, but not impossible.

I do admit that I lol'd at the comment that they'd beat you by 35 because it was "Larry's best team yet" - in the current state of affairs, it's hard to imagine either team getting THAT much of an edge on the other.  Although, looking back at the 2007 season, I kind-of see why he might have been so confident - check out Mount's regular season and playoffs and compare it to UWW's that year.  Mount had absolutely KILLED everyone; they gave up a total of 24 points in the regular season, including an eight-week stretch without allowing a touchdown, and they were coming off a 62-14 semifinal win, while UWW was at least somewhat pushed in a few games.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Raider 68......here is how that re-examination will go.

NCAA - Ummm..yah....ESPN?  We REALLY want to have the game on Saturday, because that is when the game has always been played, and college football on a Saturday is a tradition.  So which network will you have televise the game with our move to Saturday?

ESPN - NCAA?  After further review, we have decided you will move the game to Thursday at 3 PM, or we really won't be able to show it this year.  Sooooo......there you go!

NCAA - CRAP!  We should have NEVER listed to Raider 68!

;D ;D :o
