Of course it does. Weather should not dictate the outcome of a game. I don't think it did here, though. Rain, snow, rain.
obviously the weather was the same for both teams. I agree depending on your offense it may affect one team more then the other , but I don't think that was the case here either.

Congrats to UMU on a solid season and fighting hard tonight.

The fumble at the one hurt, but they didnt give in and rallied well.  Was confused by the finesse run left when UMU had 3rd and goal at the one when they trailed 10-0.  The formation seemed to tip the play and the Warhawk front seemed too quick to run against them laterally.  But i assume there was something seen on tape prepping for the game that the staff thought they could exploit.

With all the talent on UMU and UWW coming back, I expect the NAC champion to travel to Alliance or Whitewater for a 2012 first round matchup.

Hope the fans and players have a safe trip back...

Wow, what a battle. Great game tonight. Both teams are champions regardless the outcome. D3 wins outright. Great season. Same time (well maybe on a sat afternoon), same place (Salem is the place). Glad we can do it on the field!!

Congrads on a great season and a gutsy performance in the finals.  The Raiders did themselves proud.  See you next year!

congrats to both teams...wow what a game. I would take this opportunity to remind all UMU fans that if not for Pilato's play when  called on this season UMU wouldn't have been in Salem. Sure he had a couple miscues but played well when protected well. hope to be back in Salem in '12

QuoteNever want to hear about a helmet to helmet penalty again. I believe I just saw an important one not called.

Which play?

I saw the play only live and it was when the ball was turned over to UWW to run out the clock.

Congratulations to the Purple Raiders on a great game and on another great season.  That was a war out there tonight!

Indeed, a great game.  Although I missed being able to see it, I did catch the highlights on ESPN's Sportscenter just now.  As many of you predicted, it was very close, although Mount came up short.  Still, a great season for both teams and congrats to both teams' players, coaching staffs and fans on that and, of course, to UW-W for their 3rd straight title - wow.  Also, it was great to see good attendance at the Stagg Bowl - 3784 is pretty darn good.  Anyway, safe travels to those of you who have to do that now in getting back home from the Stagg.

Congrats to both team for representing the quality of D3 Football very well.   This Mount Defense will be hard to top.... what a unit.

Again, congrats to both team and their fans on a tremendous season.  Next year..... tick...tock

This is football. You play in the weather.

Exactly.

Great game. what a defense you guys had today. looks like it'll be better next year with everyone being juniors.

First, congratulations to Whitewater on their 3 Peat!

If you like defensive football tonight's game had to make you very happy.  The Mount Union D was outstanding as was Whitewater.

Congratulations to the Raider's on another great season.

"They're a very good defense, as they showed tonight," said Piloto. "They are very fast and they make you alter your feet and do some things that you're not used to doing."    This means the Off. line had some issues that need to be addressed next year.  Watch the replay and focus on just  that and you will see what the problems were.  The Mount off. was the best offense for UWW.  The Mount def.  was great, loved it.  And as always Mount was in it to the very end with a chance to win, that is why I llove this program!!!!  Looking forward to getting numer 11 next year.

I thought Pilato did a great job rebounding from a deteriorating performance.  There are a lot of quarterbacks out there that once shaken by the defense, there is no going back.  I didn't think Pilato would be effective in the 4th quarter, but he hung in there.  The game really reminded me of the Wesley game in MU getting behind and falling short like Wesley did in the semis.

It was a great game. Disappointed it was played last night since the rain came as opposed to today when the weather was predicted to be better.

I would also for the first time and somewhat selfishly give congrats to my son Trey for being named D3 3rd Team All American at WR. He has battled three years of injury and adversity and I am proud of him.

To everyone on this board. Have a blessed and joyous holiday !!
