6. Where was Pam Ward?

Pam Ward was in Alabama broadcasting the DII game between Pittsburg State and Wayne State.

Well, if anyone missed Pamcakes she's doing the Toledo Bowl game.

Yes, I posted over on our MIAA board about her calling the DII national championship game - unfortunately, she was terrible again.  So, as you mention, it appears we will have to endure her for another bowl game.  Ouch.  :o ::) :P ;D ;) :)  I hate to talk negative about anyone (and l probably shouldn't,..."lest I be judged"), however, I just don't care for her announcing style.

First time really posting since the game and wow was I impressed with Mount's defense.  It was my first chance to see them play and they did a heck of a lot more to slow down UWW than I thought they would.  It seemed that the team as a whole was about as advertised...great, fast defense with an offense that could make an important play or drive, but had trouble staying consistent the whole game.  All of it added up to staying in the game right up to the end.  That defense really was good.

Also have to agree that while the fumble at the one gave a gift-wrapped touchdown to Whitewater, it was their defense making a great play that did the wrapping.  Even with that, it was still a game that could have gone the other way with a couple of different breaks.  (Of course a couple more breaks for the Warhawks could have blown the game open, too)  The field position for Mount Union was just too much to overcome against Whitewater's defense.

Greate game by both sides, and hope to have the chance to head up to Salem next year if work doesn't get in the way again.

I very rarely talk negatively about anyone as well but I must say that as a female, it is embarrassing that another female who has risen to the level of sports announcing in a male dominated profession does not represent a lot better than she does.  I remember cringing when I listened to the 07 Stagg broadcast where she referred to Mount or UWW, (don't remember which one,)  using a 4-3-5 defense twice!    >:(

Well, a 4-3-5 defense would explain why Mount has been so good on that side of the ball these past few years :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

O-line coach Tom Manning heading to Toledo to coach with Campbell.

Raider 68

This year's Stagg Bowl for the Raiders showed clearly that the OL line play could not handle an agressive UWW DL. The question is, will the Raiders rethink to a "degree" the smaller faster OL vs. the larger line of the earlier decade Raider teams or will the approach be the same?  :-\

It did? I thought they held their own.

Need to improve on Pass Blocking, specifically Blitz Pickup.

how does their D rate in comparison to the rest of the league...I know they play a multiple 40 but can anyone else provide me with an assessment of what they do?

Interesting point Raider.  IMO, I felt the D Lines of both teams got the better of the O Lines for both teams.  Neither offense could run the ball consistently and neither offense gave their QB much time to throw.
