On a lighter note--I was trying to figure out what raider68 was saying about Manning's cervix, so I decided to look up cervical--learned something new today--it can have something to do with someone's neck.  Not necessarily the body part that first came to my mind!  ::)

You will have to ask formerd3db, he is the Medical doctor, not me! :)

The cervix is part of the body part that first came to mind-it can be considered the neck of the uterus. The cervical vertebrae are the first seven vertebrae of the spinal column. I'm thinking he was talking about Manning's cervical vertebrae.

Oops! :o :o ::) :P ;D :)  newcardfan is right.  I don't think Manning has a cervix, well...at least not his own i.e. on his own person! :o :o :o ::) :P ;D :D :)

Heard Bill Polian on Sirius NFL radio today talking about Pierre and the 5 year contract he turned down from Indy, looking to test free agent market.  Polian spent 5 or 6 minutes talking him up.  Said he has the all physical tools to be dominant.  Very strong, over the top speed and explosive cuts.  Is up to 220 lbs and is still running a 4.4, just needs more time to learn the game and to improve his hands.  Said his hands are average, route running isn't perfect yet, but he's well on his way to being a great WR.

Was very cool.

Saw that Pierre turned down a 5 year deal from colts and will test free-agent market. Article said he was looking for Sydney Rice type money ($8mil/year). Wow- that's a lot a scratch! But what do I know - I am not a pass catcher - just a professor (pssst. hey PG - mind floating me some dough?)

In all seriousness I have heard NFL guys say you only really get one contract (most are gone by the time their initial one is up) so you better make it count if you get the opportunity to get a 2nd.

Just hope Pierre remains humble and trying not to become too greedy. Indy was good to him, so you just do not know how it will work out! :)

Very true. I don't think greed will be much of an issue with PG - I don't consider him a diva like TO and the rest. I told my dad about the offer and he asked "wonder what he wants?" - I told him at the very least I am sure he would like to be paid more than his backup (Gonzo) has been getting.

$8 mil a year?  Gonna smack my Mom the next time I see her for hooking up with a 5'-9" German guy that couldn't be more white, and slow.  Just my luck...

Good luck to PG.  Hope he finds the right landing spot and gets paid well.

Like being slightly less white and slightly less slow would have made a difference for you...

The Ohio Senior Bowl Rosters have been announced.  A ton of OAC guys on both squads.
