Denied?  I take it you are taking a shot at my academic career.  What a clever remark.  I never wanted to be a pharmacist or move to Ada for any reason, ever.  ONU just doesn't appeal to many of Ohio's top students.   I am sorry that you have purple envy, but at least you can feel a sense of OAC pride with MUC's success.  I can only imagine how that must feel.  Take pride in your expensive degree and your pharmaceutical career.   If only I would have applied and went to prestigious ONU, the Harvard of Ohio, right?

Ada thanks you.  Northwest Ohio has enough fertilizer and manure with all the farming and agriculture.  They wouldn't want to deal with your crap too.

It's childish pissing matches like Purplesuit's contribution this summer that makes me glad I don't spend much time in here anymore.    >:(
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

On the other hand, it is entertaining in June.......I cancelled a vacation so as not to miss anything.  (side note:  someone from Alliance really shouldn't dog on Ada)   :)

On a brighter note it is good to see post patterns at the top of the pecking order again.  I do enjoy college baseball but there is no comparison when it comes to college football.

What will be the one thing that puts Mount Union back on top of the Stagg Bowl this year?

A Quality RB like Kmic, Pugh, or Moore that can take pressure off the QB position and allow the Mount Union Offense able to attack multiple ways in the Stagg Bowl.

The past few years the QB Play and RBs have been good enough to get the Raiders to the Big Game, but not good enough to make them One Dimensional once they get to Salem.  Especially in close games where first downs and time of possession play such an important role in the outcome.

The play and development of a new QB, the rest of the team has the talent to get back to the Stagg Bowl, IMHO! :)

Coach Larry told me on our visit that the kicking game hasn't helped in the last two stagg bowls. He said the punting game wasn't able to flip the field and bury them deep very often. He thinks special teams can make a big difference this year.

Coach Kehres nailed it. The Raiders will need a new punter for 2012, that and the QB situation will make the difference. No doubt he had recruited a top notch group of kickers. :)

BoBo,

Good to hear from you! Not sure it is a slip of tongue, but a improvements in QB play and kicking game will give the Raiders a good chance. Against a great team, you cannot have any weaknesses and come out on top. Last year's Stagg proved that. :) +k.

Agreed that kicking game can play a big role in the final game.  Look back to last year's Stagg, and you can see just that.  UWW's punter had a great game and constantly gave the Raiders a long field to overcome.  If he had just one shanked punt or line drive kick that allowed a decent return, the game could have turned, but he was just too good that day.  On the other side, the Mount Union punter wasn't able to consistently pin the Warhawks deep.  Granted, some of the results for both punters had to do with where they were kicking from, but IMO that takes too much away from a great game by the punter for UWW.  I do remember a couple of folks mentioning him post-game last December, but for the most part he was a fairly quiet difference.
