Does "the ONU kid" have an actual name? Easy to overlook a kid if even you won't spare us his actual name.

easier still when you realize how many players there are eligible for recognition in all of Division 3 Football..as I'm sure you know Pat.

I'm sure its not easy to pick just 50 kids for the Pre Season All American team.

BTW -- HScoach and RC .. SaintsFAN is getting married on October 13th.  I finally talked her into it and had her sign a contract so she can't get out of it.  RC made sure she was a real person when he was in town last month before we went to the Reds game.

Wow.  She seemed so smart.  And normal.  Guess not.

Congrats buddy!  I know you realize this, but I'll say it for the benefit of the others:  YOU SERIOUSLY OUT KICKED YOUR COVERAGE.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

What I would like to know is, are there any teams on UWW's schedule that will give them decent challenge?  I'm pretty sure that BW is going to be the Big Nasty for UMU this season, but what's out there in the WIAC??

The in- conference games tend to be very competitive- part of the reason may be the types of teams played on non conference schedule- which I'm sure prepares everyone for conference.
In non conf games WIAC teams play:
Dubuque
North Central (2 wiac teams)
St. Thomas (2 wiac teams)
St. Johns
Central

Lacrosse is up and coming- see their game vs MHB last year.  Oshkosh returns qb but not sure on rest of team.  The others all have strengths that present challenges.

Oshkosh will be UWW's toughest game this season. They almost beat us last year in Oshkosh, and they are returning their very athletic QB, Nate Wara (2012 pre-season all-american).

You're just lucky her VISA is expiring and she doesn't want to go back to her country of origin.  I mean, she lives in northern KY so I understand that the pickings are slim.  You really won this competition by default and proximity.

It's more fun for you to have to guess the kid's name.  Assuming the reference to sophomore stats was for the 2011 season I presume our candidates are: Tyler Rue, Justin Buenger, Malcolm Burrell or Ryan Reid.  I have high hopes for the QB and RB but I hardly think they would garner pre-season A-A accolades.  Not sure...

I think that because Saints Fan is not actually related is what swung her in his favor.

Congrats SF!

As a recent (June) joiner of the "just married" club, I look forward to welcoming you into the fold.  Of course, I had been in the club before, but after being kicked out 11 years ago, I had to reapply.   ;)

The wife and I honeymooned in Italy, and had one of those trips of a lifetime.

I was over at the stadium last night watching Jr.'s team in their 7 on 7.  Got a chance to say hello to LK, and also saw a fair amount of players putting in a summer workout.  My guess is the cupboard isn't bare for the Purple Raiders.   8-)

Unfortunately, morons never rue anything ... they generally blame someone else.

So true. Nobody scapegoats better than a moron. That's why they are perpetual idiots, they never take responsibility and grow from mistakes.

Thanks guys -- I was kicked out once before too, 8 years ago.  Actually, I removed myself from that club.

Congrats on your nuptials, SSidekick.. I thought something was up with you not being around here so much..

Most people on these boards seem to think that BW will be Mount's biggest challenge this year. That may be; however, I think Heidelberg will be tougher. Why, you ask? BW has been up and down for the last several years. Last year was up. Heidelberg, on the other hand, has been, for the most part, improving every year. I like Hallett over Snell, too!
I like Heidelberg's "program" over BW's one good year.
But then again, what do I know?
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠
