So of the 4, it would be safest to assume that the player in reference is Germany Woods.  That would be a head-scratcher if he did.

Agree,

He should stay with Heidelberg!

My buddy texted me at 6:45 this morning and said to look at Germany Woods' Twitter feed.  It appears it's official.  He transferred to Mount.  He mentioned having to sit out a year due to OAC rules.  There's even a Tweet from Coach Hallett to Germany wishing him the best of luck.

Interesting...so he's going to forfeit his junior year at Heidelberg to play his senior year at Mount? Is that how it works?

Dr. Acula

I believe he has to sit out this season due to transferring within the OAC.  Then next season he would be eligible with still 2 yrs to play.  Someone correct me if that's wrong though.

On a silver lining note:  Cartel Brooks was also a soph last season and seemed to be explosive (750+ yds, 9+ YPC).  He was getting around 10 carries per game with Woods getting 20+.  Hopefully this turns out to be his coming out party in 2012.  At 180 lbs he's smaller, but he should be fun to watch as his touches increase.

Weird.  I can't imagine someone doing that.  Especially from a program that's on the rise.  It's not like he's leaving the H'Berg of old.  I'll believe it when I see it.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Been a long time since I've been on here. It really disappoints me what has happened to the Captial football program. No back from administration has crippled that program. They had such a great thing going for about 8 years...starting in '01. Hopefully they can get things back on track. It's starts with recruiting and they need to get as many kids as they can. I know for a fact that they have a very talented freshman running back this year in Griffin Mouty, but he has to prove he can play at that level. Reminds me of a Pugh/Kmic type of player. Come on CAP, time to step up!

Came back from football camp last week and found out one of the varsity coaches is a Canal Winchester kid that graduated in 2007.  He's straight out of college but had many friends that played in the OAC.  I can't seem to go ten feet in AZ without running into someone from the old home state which is a good thing.

Based upon the D3Football Pre-season Poll, the Raiders will play (2) ranked teams during the regular season starting with the opener Franklin, both however are away games. Fall Camp should begin this week, does anyone know the date? :-\

Fall camps generally open closer to the 10th-12th of August for teams that play in the first week of the season.

5 years removed from a 36 game losing streak and a stretch where they won 4 games in 7 years Berg received 10 votes in the preseason poll.  Truly an amazing turnaround job in Tiffin.  As someone who graduated in the early 00's you could have NEVER convinced me a time would come soon where I'd be more concerned about Berg than JCU or Cap.
