Rob Vettorel appears to have graduated from Mount Union and has become a success! Who knew!

As a D3 fan in general dlip feels very badly for Matt. The few times dlip watched him play on video and TV dlip was quite impressed. Dlip wishes him the very best!

The 2012 Mount Union Football Guide has arrived. Jam packed as always, but here are a couple things that jumped out at me:

- Matt Piloto isn't mentioned in the 2012 Preview and it talks about "Senior signal caller Neal Seaman." This had to have been a last minute edit.

- Jeremy Murray is listed as being on the cover on Page 1, but he is not shown. He is also not mentioned at all in the 2012 Preview. The only RB they mention is Senior Fullback Jake Simon. Is there a reason Jeremy was pulled from the cover and not featured in the Preview? Usually a RB with 1,700+ yds and 20 TD's gets some focus.

- Both Kevin Burke and Roman Namdar are mentioned in the Preview.

- Neal Seaman is 22-0 as a starter. After thinking about it, it adds up, but he is a winner.

- Lastly, I cannot WAIT to watch Nick Driskell play football in a few weeks.

Great job by the SID dept for another impressive Football Guide. http://static.psbin.com/i/j/nbac8r7q5kkwqw/2012_MU_Football_Guide-WEB.pdf

My first thought was maybe he's on the back cover, but then I noticed he's also absent from the returning letterwinner roster.  Certainly odd to not have him in the preview or on the roster.

Murray is also not listed on the 2012 roster on the school's website.

Sure he his...page 3 under "RETURNING STATISTICAL LEADERS, PASSING."

I also see Murray listed under the rushing leaders in the same table.

it's OAC Media Day, maybe we'll get some answers today about Murray.  I doubt it, but maybe

Dr. Acula

As Suit mentioned, the preseason polls are out today.  Pretty much as expected...MUC, BW/Berg, ONU.

What mouth breather didn't give Mount a first place vote?

(or does that happen every year?)

Dr. Acula

LK never votes for himself.  It actually said in there that they aren't allowed to which I was unaware of.  As for the media poll, who knows?  Maybe Jack Weber from the Alliance Review does the same thing!  Haha.

02,

Dr. Acula is correct! Coach Kehres does not vote for his team each pre-season. My guess would be he voted for either B-W or Heidelberg.

Actually, that explains the Coaches Poll perfectly.

Which leaves someone from the Media Poll with some explaining to do.

Looks like they'll be without Murray due to academic issues according to the Rep.  Tough blow to the running game.  Although this line from LK was interesting:

"And he could be seeing time in the offensive backfield," Kehres said of Driskill, who had team-high 113 tackles in 2011. "He ran for 2,000 yards as a senior in high school."

Dr. Acula and Raider68:

It is the same in our MIAA- the coaches are not allowed to vote for themselves/their own team at the pre-season league meeting/media day (I dare say, most of them would not do that anyway, even if they could...well perhaps one or two might, however, most would not :o ::)  :)).
