Here we go again!

The 2012 OAC Pick-Ems will be starting up next week.  The contest is open to anyone, whether a regular of the OAC page or not.

We pick all the OAC games, plus a few national games of interest.  OAC league games are worth 2 points, national and non-conference games are worth 1 point.

All games are picked with spreads.  I'll be posting the spreads on Monday nights for that week's games.

The participants' picks must be in by Saturday 12:00 Noon EST.  The week's results will be posted on Sunday morning.

When posting the picks, please be clear who you're picking.  "Bolding" is fine, but more elaborate methods don't print well enough to distinguish.

Last season, this required much more work than I envisioned, so if anyone can talk HSCoach into coming out of retirement, they have my eternal gratitude.  And karma, fresh karma, day after day!     ;D

Let's have some fun!

I just went to the d3 mainpage and saw the countdown to Kickoff.  The Day 3 entry put a big smile on my face.  I am not trying to brag so I hope it's not coming off that way.  The teaser and subsequent snippets come from my interview with Pomona-Pitzer running back Luke Sweeney.  It's a very fulfilling feeling to see your work sitting there for others to dive into and read.  I am privileged to say I have written the SCIAC capsules for three years now.  It's been an honor to write for D3football.com and I just felt now was a great time to get that out.

Purchase Kickoff!  It's an awesome effort and really celebrates what we all love so much about Division III football!

There goes my purchase... If I wanted to purchase a coloring book, I'd go to Toys-R-us.  Maybe it won't be so bad if you don't put as many "uh's and um's" in there.  Its hard to believe Pat won't hold his freelancers to a higher standard than one with "an education" from CJ :)

For a guy that can't read past a third grade level (valedictorian material growing up in Hamilton), you sure are hard on me.  It's unfortunate you knock my with coloring book jabs because you seemed so proud of your personal collection.  I think you referred to your set as the "official Thomas More literary classics Crayola edition"?!?  And while we're on the subject of Pat and giving a person his shot, I still think it was incredibly gracious of him to let someone with a severe speech impediment and lisp like you have, get on the air ever.  It's a shame you had to play the "Make a Wish" card to do it because you're still here years later.

Out.   ;D

Is this the year W&J finally  wins the first scrimmage vs The Guys In Purple?

I'm more curious to see if this is the year stoonk actually uses real english?

Odds are against it.....

Started watching the OAC Football preview on STO last night. Being that I am an old fart I fell asleep before the end, but did see a couple teams. Heidelberg should be proud of their coach and their senior LB (the pre-med student). Both came off really well in the interviews.

Didn't see the Mount Union preview, but depending on when it was filmed alot may have changed anyway (starting QB and RB as example!).

Nice job RC and thanks for the work.  Given the lack of information in the mainstream about D3 football, the value of D3football.com is really hard to overstate.  And Kickoff is just outstanding every year.  There is so much to love about D3 football, some of it more subtle (IE, the sense of "this is how college football was meant to be" as kids who are genuinely scholar-athletes compete for the love of the game) and some of it more obvious (D3 football ROCKS with a legitimate playoff system to determine a champion!  But ALL OF IT is captured wonderfully by D3football.com and all of its contributors.  Thanks for stepping up!

Anyone seen any Raider practices and which players stand out?  :-\
