I honestly felt bad for Bluffton.

Please don't feel bad.  They received a very similar payday to that of Savannah St. for playing BW.   ;D

BW paid them $375,000?! :o

And now we must ask the question:

Have we ever see two players from the same D-III school score TD's on the same day in the NFL?

Both catches also made it into SC's TopTen this morning for the opening week of the season.  And yet, I'll be honest that while it's nice to see and a great thing for them, I'd selfishly take a win in Salem instead.

Just looked at ONU's schedule...man, it's front loaded.  Berg this week, then Cap, UMU, BW.  Not a lot of room for error in the next month.

I wouldn't look past JCU either, it looks like they have a big time QB and should be able to put up points on most teams

Dr. Acula

I'm glad that BW/JCU game is on STO because that's the best game of the weekend.

I didn't get a good feel for BW's secondary in that opener.  It was tough to tell because Bluffton ran a lot of quick stuff, but they dropped a lot of balls so it was hard to tell how effective it would have been.  There's no question Myers seems like a big time player.  And Robilotto is a good WR.  If BW doesn't get pressure they're going to give up a lot of points.  As per usual JCU didn't do much on the ground.  That's fine with me because frankly I want to see Myers gunning it around all night anyway.

Looking forward to the Mount game this sat. night.

Raider 68

I noticed the Raider pre-game write-up this week showed Kevin Burke as the # 1 QB, for the Franklin game it was Neal Seaman first. My guess is Coach Kehres is going with K. Burke again this week. Why not, he had a good performance against Franklin! :)

Obviously Burke is the starter.  The question is with Musky in town and a blow out likely how long does LK leave him in?  Normally LK is fairly quick to go to the back ups, especially against the OAC teams.  Does he leave Burke in a little longer purely because he needs game reps at this point?

I'd say some of it will depend on the health of the Mount RB's.  Simon was out two weeks ago with a hamstring and Lattimore played with the flu.  I don't think that Mount wants to keep using Skilliter on both sides of the ball.  If Simon is still out and Lattimore is not 100%, Burke's legs might be needed to keep chewing up the clock in the second half until Namdar comes in.

As an outsider (probably as outside as one can be  :D), I would think that Burke would get as many reps as possible while the offense is still operating the normal, aggressive game plan. However, once the game is in hand (a stronger emphasis on running to work the clock), I would think LK might take Burke out to protect his long term health.  The last thing Mount needs is more injuries at the QB spot.  Just my thoughts...

Wideout

It will always. Be in the back of my mind what if he was the QB when he was here?Shorts could throw that ball

Or if Cecil would have been a year older, would have had Pierre, Cecil, Kmic and Micheli all on the same offense....

It would have been great to have him at QB, but he might not be where he is today had he not been moved to WR.

The gang was all together in 2007. Shorts was only a freshman but was getting playing time, he even caught two balls in that Stagg Bowl.
