Marietta has old Don Drumm looking pretty good!  Love the huge, vault-like metal flood doors at the restroom entrances.

Lattimore has another fumble....

And a trip to the bench for a while.

Maybe LK can pull a "Darnell Jefferson" and make him carry a ball to class?  It sounded like Prendergast looked better yesterday too.  One of the guys said he looked quicker than last week.  Hopefully a positive sign for his health there.

Wonder if Predergast wore his knee brace or not?

Couldn't tell if he was wearing a full brace or just a sleeve.  Either way, he was definitely quicker yesterday.

Sitting here at lunch killing time on the net and like any true blooded Mount fan, I'm looking way forward in the schedule.  My crystal ball says this is going to be great end to the OAC season.  Heidelberg should be easily favored in every game between now and their Mount trip in Week 8.  And BW should be easily favored in every game between now and Week 9 when Mount heads to Berea.  So assuming those teams play up to their potential, we could be facing undefeated and ranked OAC opponents in both Weeks 8 and 9, with a good JCU team waiting for us in Week 10.  That's the way to prepare for the 2nd season.

And assuming Hberg takes care of business in week 9 against JCU, their home game against BW will be for a trip to the playoffs.  That would be a HUGE game for Mike Hallett and the Hberg team.

Very much looking forward to this season.

13-6 over Musky in OT?  Seriously?  Guess I was a little premature in talking about BW and week 9.  How does the same defense that Mount lit up one week ago then hold BW to 2 FG's in 60 minutes?  Yikes.  It probably safe to assume that BW was a little flat after the emotional win over JCU, and I'm sure they didn't take Musky that serious after Mount sliced and diced them, but still how does BW almost lose that game?

With JCU struggling against Otter, and yes I know that Myers didn't play, I'm starting to think that BW and JCU aren't either as good as we thought.   I realize it's early, but H'Berg looks to be a solid #2 behind Mount right now in the OAC.  Very curious to see ONU this weekend to get a gauge on how impressive the 43-7 Berg win was in week 2.

Almost losing a game doesn't seem like a big deal to me anymore!  :o

After a slow start the "O" got on track and by all accounts the game was over at half. Mount will only improve (especially Burke) so all the points regarding 'Berg, JC and B-W could prove to be moot.

Ok sports fans...I posted some stats on Mount Union over the years on my Facebook page...my smarta$$ son wanted to know what the scoring difference was, on average, since 1995. Here it is...My wife and I added up points over the last 242 games (since 1995) Mount has outscored their opponents 10,819 points to 2,796 points or, on average, 44.7/game to 11.5/game (give or take  ;D).

And there ya have it...trivia for the week.

Won/lost record - 233-9

Congrats to Cecil Shorts for the 80 yard TD catch to beat the Colts today 22-17! :)

Ahhh so close!  Berg comes up 3 pts short of cracking the new top 25.  They'll be there soon enough.  BW rightfully gets leap frogged by the 2 teams behind them after that effort against Musky.

Offense was a bit sluggish, however, they were against a very difficult gusting wind in the first qtr, and opened up very well in the second with the wind.  I don't know how strong it was, but when a punt blew backwards after traveling 20 yards or so, I knew why they didn't have much success passing in the first.
The fourth and 25 pass for a TD was a highlight for me and Almeida is a great weapon as he continues to go deep and keep opponents from returning the ball.

Can't believe they didn't jump Rowan. Rowan squeaked by a Western Conn. team 30-24 that was their 23rd consecutive loss. Also must have been an error last week that Huntingdon (AL) didn't receive a vote in last week's poll and jumps into the top 25 this week.

Berg is still fighting the 'Berg name imo, plus they really havent played anyone.  Keep winning and we'll have a top ten battle in week 9
