After 22 quarters of football Mount Union has outscored opponents 326-7. I hope this does not hurt them come BW and then Berg or the playoffs. Quick question: what is the Mount record for most consecutive shutouts? Most in a season?
2007 ... 7 shut-outs, 6 of them in a row.

Wait 'til Easterbrook sees THAT score! 8-)

Another Mees TD pass.  Berg now leads 21-0 over Ott in the 3rd.

Crap! Capital going for a FG with 39seconds to go - HA! No good! CAP was only going for the 3 to prevent a shut out. I hate that. Game is over you may as well go for the 6. Even CAP fans booed. Anyway-

Last thing I want is for Easterhack to get a hold of that stat! Regardless I am listening to the WRMU guys calling this game and they actually said "my player of the game vote is for Isaiah Scott with 2 pick 6's and the Mount Union offense struggling for the most part today" ???

Mount totaled 518 yards (253 rushing/265 passing) 6 offensive TDs and 2 FGs - they struggled? With what keeping it under 70?

4th QTR and Otters getting beat on. Fairchild has 2 receptions for 18 yards. Berg looks balanced. Mees (QB) 17-22-1 for 231 and 2 TD and Cartel Brooks at 100 yards on 20 carries. Could THE BERG be legit? I have a feeling I am going to the Berg / Mount game.

Almost forgot: Please  make sure to tune in to a historic event this evening at 7PM as my Hiram Terriers (Class of 97) try to secure their 25th consecutive losing season! They battle the Mighty WOOster and I for one know the Terriers can do it.  ;D

Capital is Wilmington without the 4 hour drive.   How sad to see what that program has become.   Has only been 6 years since Cap was the best team Mount would play all season, playoffs included.    Now they just suck.   Terrible, slow defense with little to no effort.   Seriously it looked like Wilma in different uniforms.

Nice win by Berg today.   Especially the defensive effort.   Should be a fun one in 2 weeks.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Agree with HSCoach. It is unfortunate what has happen to Capital, effects of an administration that not only does not have a clue and obviously could are less about their program.

For the Raiders:

1. Coach Kehres has to feel really good about this team's consistancy
on both offense, defense and special teams.

2. I mentioned in an earlier post about the PT for the back-ups and the impact it will have
in the future. Today's game was another to add to that opportunity.

3. The next four weeks will be all about consistancy, and Heidelberg poses the greatest
challenge, so it is one game at a time with Otterbein on the team mind.

4. Maybe HSCoach knows about Burke, though it was a right ankle strain?

5. Who is number 45, he looks the size of Kyle Miller, is he next big TE of the future? :-\

Great effort by the Raiders, just keep it going! :)

Time for Cap to clean house and hire a capable Mt. grad. as head coach.  ie just like the Berg

After getting a good look at Namdar does he get anyone's vote to start? Was not impressed with Cap's OC...UGH! And to think all those people left and missed one of the most exciting endings of the season...oh well!  ;D

purpled,

IMHO, Namdar is a good QB, but does not pose the duel threat that Burke does. Burke
also has that football savy to make more of the right decisions. That said, Coach Kehres has a stronger QB situation than in previous years. :) I do not see him ahead of Burke, unless there is an injury.

Playing outmatched opponents certainly will do nothing to HELP them for the post-season, that's for sure.  Will it come back to bite them or are they simply enough better than everyone else so it doesn't matter? Time will tell.  ;)

I agree with you...the kid throws a nice ball but wanted to get some other opinions of his play.

Wow...that JCU air attack was out in full force today.

Mark Myers was 23/30 for 474 yds and 6 TD today.  He did have a pick though.  What a bum.  Haha.

And Lane Robilotto had a nice month today...10 grabs, 267 yds rec, 3 TD.

Pick-Ems results are up .. congrats to bashbrother and our recently returned DesertRaider for taking top banana this week.

Praiderguy is slowly separating himself from the rest of us, roughly a point a week.  Let's see if someone can catch him!
