Moore takes a bubble screen 38 yds for a TD.  2 pt conversion is failed.  12-7 Raiders.

Also, Brooks has not played since getting drilled on that kick off.  In addition, UMU tackle Antonio Tate went out with an injury.  Hope both guys are okay.

Dr. Acula

12-7 at half.  UMU will receive the 2nd half kick.  Berg definitely proving they are legit top 15 team so far, IMO.

Brooks is a stud.   Best RB in conference by large margin.   Reminds me of Coppage, only half a step slower in open field.  He has ankle injury.   Got re-taped.   Should see him in 2nd half.

Tate is done.   Looks like for awhile.  That sucks.

Raiders starting to pull away in the 3rd.  26-7 now.  Berg needs to put a drive together here to give themselves a shot in the 4th.

Great game by the Berg!  Congrats to Coach Hallett and staff.  I thought it would be around 24 points, but was way off base.  Now let's both win it out and get into the playoffs.  It would be great to face each other one more time this season.

Wow, Berg sure has come a long way.   That was a team, with Brooks in the lineup, that could win a playoff game or two.   Hopefully he'll be good for next week because I don't think they win the next two without him.  Regardless, Mike has that program on the rise and it's only going to get better.   Almost entire offense is sophomores.   And half of defense is young too.   They're going to be really good in the near future.

'Wastewater' gotten under your skin a bit?! ;)

Even though they are obviously down this year, I'd bet there are 32 playoff-bound teams who are breathing a sigh of relief that UWW is not potentially lurking down the road! ;D

No problem.
Still a 90% chance of an all purple Stagg.

WW losing is like a Brown's fan knowing the Steelers lost or an Indian's fan knowing the Yankees lost...don't feel bad for them at all.  ;D

Today's game changed dramatically after Mount scored their first TD even missing the PAT didn't matter. The "D" flexed its muscle against a good offense and shut them down. the 'Berg's D was tough, Mount worked hard on offense all game.

Hard to believe it's the 8th game of the season.

I braved the weather, luckily it pretty much quit raining at half time.

My thoughts, Berg offense really got stagnant when Brooks went out with the injured ankle. Thought they missed an opportunity by not using any play action passes. Mount loaded the box and said they aren't going to run on us. Was shocked by some of the Mount penalties, way too many loss of composure penalties, roughing the passer, late hits, and face mask. Was at least 5 that would have been costly in a closer game. Admired the way Berg came out in stuffed the idea of another shutout right down their throats. Problem was the next 2 drives where they moved the ball but didn't take advantage of the D holding Mount. Then the Brooks injury happened and it became a long day on the field again for the Berg defense. Mount going no huddle also seemed to create problems for Berg.

I think Berg showed they belong, holding Mount to it's lowest point total so far this year and scoring twice as many as they had given up all year. Hopefully they do win out and get to show what they can do in the playoffs.

If not, we wait until baseball season and wipe the field with them again like the OAC Tournament.

First and foremost - great game by Berg today. Hats off to you on a well played, hard fought game - and kudos on not quitting in the 4th. I was impressed by Brooks - the kid is a beast. But Berg really suffered when he was out. As for Mount - I am torn. On the bad:
1. Sloppy! Penalties - especially roughing and late hits, stalled drives, mistakes.
2. The D got pushed around in the 1st quarter.
3. The O was sluggish in the 1st half - didn't seem ready to play.

On the good:
1. Never quit.
2. D rose to occassion when they had too.
3. The O FINISHED! The 15 play, 85 yard drive that ate 10 minutes of clock in the 4th quarter and resulted in a TD was key! It reminded me of the Stagg against UWW a few years back - Mounts 12 minute drive that sealed it. Great teams always finish - and that was a great display.

Berg - finish out and you should be in. Get Brooks healthy and you will go DEEP in playoffs.
Mount - The wake up call was given and answered. This was the test - now finish strong.

Ouch.  Just watched the play where South Carolina RB Lattimore blows out his right knee.  That was ugly.
