The new little Italian place is called Bliss and it is on Union right next door to the fire station and behind Walgreen's.  I didn't know if people wanted to do this week, since, according to some, we will be traveling next week if we win. ;)

Mt Fan......I think theaprof is correct.  That is the one I was talking about.

Let's just plan on doing Rey's Place next Friday night.

IF chicken little is right and Mount is traveling to Texas next week with a MHB win, we can just adjust the get together to a watch party on Saturday or something.  Just a thought.......

This is a question for Pat Coleman (I tried to comment on the Daily Dose, but I guess you have to have a separate login for that). You wrote "The Purple Raiders might not run well but they won't have to this week". I'm curious as to what you base that comment on. According to the NCAA Stats page, they are currently ranked 12th in the nation in rushing offense with a Yds per game average of 261.42. Even more impressive is 5.82 yards per rush. I wouldn't call that not running well. However, I've been to only one game this year (vs. CNU) so I can only go by what I read.

Have you been watching/voting on "Who is the best college football coach of all time?d"?  Is something VERY fishy going on there?

at first glance that does sound a little silly (like saying the offense was out of sync on a 22 degree windyass day and dropping 650 yards on a team- but I kinda felt that for first 10 minutes of the last game) but even though the numbers dont bear it out sometimes mount HAS had trouble getting tough yards(we sure miss number 35? fullback  from last year). When O-line is intact they do get a good solid push upfront but with the spread offense sometimes guys go way around o-line and get to our smallish running backs before they get started. Be GREAT to have a big fullback to get ALL the 3rd down 2yds to go that a horse would give us. That said a 50/50 run pass ratio and 260 yds a game is pretty good. I also think with THAT QB and all those good receivers that 3rd and 3 is a passing down more often than in the past few years(when they would dbl/triple cecil and spy on kyle miller- but I understand his comment. all that being said this year's offense seems better than the last 2 years versions and fun to watch...... lotta big plays, lotta depth/speed at WR and RB and o-line has done a good job

and not to answer a question directed at Pat but sometimes Mount does better in "no man's land" on a 2nd/3rd down and 7/8 yds to go than with 2/3 yards to go. Burke either lasers one to WRs or there will be a hole and a lineman or two sneaks down gets a linebacker and a RB rips off a long run. That sounds backasswards but it sure has happened a lot this year

No--I was just going on the "expert" reporting (I heard that someone heard that someone was told that someone heard that there was an announcement made...) that was posted on this very board.  ::) ::)
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Mount has struggled running the ball in short yardage situations.   Which is to be expected when the RB's weigh 180 pounds without a legit FB and prototype blocking TE running from the shotgun spread.  If Mount really needs a first down, it's going to be thru the air.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

If protocol for the NCAA holds true, we will not be traveling to Texas.  We will be privileged to witness the demise of a premier D3 football team right there in Larry's crib!  Bring your swords and shields boys this Raider team shall not be denied!!
Go Raiders!!

What happened?  LK was wining by a HUGE margin in the round of 16.

Elite 8 wasn't supposed to start until Dec 4th...

What the heck?? The voting suddenly stopped this afternoon instead of Sunday. Then they completely skip the 3rd round. Yes, it does seem very fishy - including that 3-day-old-smell-on-the-hot-beach-dead-fish smell!  :P

Relax...the voting is being monitored by the Florida Secretary of State. Everythings fine!  ::)  If LK loses its because he forgot about the "corkage fees".

Voting for the best QB or defense or team of the last 20 years is like trying to decide which kid you love most. They were all special in their own rights an did what they did best. Like win.

If you wanna start a debate that lasts a month just ask who was the best runner you ever saw, (ours or theirs) its all a matter of preference.

Please God...can we have just 2 more weeks of decent weather on Saturdays?

Anybody miss those celebrations in January like I do? Just one more please.

ROLL RAIDERS.

I was speaking compared to the Mount Union standard (Moore->Pugh->Kmic) of excellence. I will agree the Purple Raiders run the ball better this year than the previous couple of years.

It looks like Lk got screwed in the poll when they skipped the 3rd round of voting.

The guy listed as running the poll is Mark Faller who is the director of azcentral sports. His contact info is  mark.faller@arizonarepublic.com, and phone 602-444-4937. His listed twitter account is  Twitter.com/falleraz.  that were i'm voicing my compliant and letting him know his poll lost all its credibility when it skipped the 3rd round of voting.
