Check this out! Heidelberg is #1 for the best fans and best game day experience in 2012.

Shows you how laughable that website is.  I guess it might a better "experience" but the berg stadium/ old, ricketty soccer field is not so great comparex to the old place.   Theres no way their dozens of fans are the best.  I wish Big Mike all the best but come on

Geez PurpleSuit! The guy who wrote that is just calling it as he sees it. I'm sorry you don't agree with him.

Agreed.  He never claimed to be anyone official.  He just said these were his picks- his opinion.  He went to 21 games in one season and was posting what he felt were the best and worst.  He's not even a Berg Fan.  He's entitled to his opinion.

You Mount guys are rough!   :)

I'm no Mount guy, just for clarification.

Coach Scafe was trying his best...JCU canned him anyway.

Nice article about Dieuseul's journey to an NFL team. Interesting story about how he ended up at Mount...a flip of a coin!

Welcome to the board! We need more Berg fans.

By the way, I think you'll find in general we have higher expectations here than on OCF. :)

Thanks - and I'm good with higher expectations.  Love the site!  My son will be a freshman LB this fall at the Berg -  - so I'm a newbie here.  Glad to see this site - Thanks to TheBerg40 for turning me on to it!

And no offense to the Mount Fans - Thus the smiley face.  They represent the OAC well by winning National Championships and while I'll be a Berg fan first, I'll be rooting for all OAC teams in the playoffs!

Welcome to the boards!

It varies depending on who we're talking about (cough) BW (cough), but I'd say most Mount fans are the same way about rooting for the OAC.  I know it seemed like with Coach Hallett's Mount ties that there seemed to be pretty universal support for Berg in the playoffs last year.  Having more than one team make good playoff runs would be a point of pride for the conference nationally and most people are on board with that.  I know I was definitely rooting for Berg big time, especially against Witt!

Seems like I've read that part somewhere:

No offense meant Pat. Just like to see our local media getting behind the Mount guys getting a shot.

Is it football season yet?    I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Mount offense looks like with Germany Woods at TB.   Just need Namdar's switch from QB to be 80% of what Cecil's was and the receiving corps will be just fine.   September can't come soon enough.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

According to Twitter Isaiah Scott has been invited to Panthers camp.  That makes 5 Raiders now. Good luck guys!

Agree,

Can wait for the season to begin! In the meantime, we all should enjoy the spring and summer. It will be interesting to see the new look running game and if Namdar can make an impact at WR. My concern will be, can we have a consistent OL given the number of players graduated. :)

Coming off UMU's first national title since 2008 its refreshing to see the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming season.  Our question in WIAC territory is if UWW can get back into "the mix" in '13?

I think Namdar at WR will be the bigger surprise , even bigger than the improvement in the running game with Woods.  He is appears to be superbly athletic, fast/quick and suited perfectly to be a game changer at the receiving spot.  Only question is hands and ability to hold onto football after/while being hit, which we haven't seen.

I would like to hear the opinions from all about who you think has the best chance to stick with NFL team.

Personally, I am betting on Dieusel as an outside LB/special teams player.  I don't think Collins is nearly as talented as Garcon or Shorts.
Driskill does not have the speed that Kern possessed, and his tackling, at times was suspect maybe he will latch on as a special teams player.  Denton was a total shock to me as a FA pickup as I felt he was too much of a "dancer" as a returner (the NFL is "get it and go"), and his speed does not make up for his lack of size.
Thomas, I feel, is not big or physical enough to match up with NFL receivers.
Many times, in the NFL it appears you  have to be in the right place at the right time for your talents to be recognized.
I hope the Raiders all do well and would love to see one or all stick in some fashion, ie. practice squads, but it is a tough world out there.

It is official now.  Larry Kehres retires and hands off the program to Vince.

In 27 seasons, Larry has won 23 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships (1986, 1990, 1992-2012) while posting 21 undefeated regular seasons (1986, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1995-2004, 2006-2012) and claiming 11 NCAA Division III National Championships (1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012).

Great job Larry.
